After seeing you from the tuning and restoration company Gunther factory already the red 911 400R (993) from 2018 as well as a dream Full carbon version have presented, this olive-green specimen with the surname "Greenwich" with ducktail duck tail should not be missing. Here, too, the basis is of course a Porsche 911 of the 993 generation, which has been completely restored and rebuilt in countless hours of work. And Matt Farah from the YouTube channel "TheSmokingTire" had the unbelievable opportunity to examine and drive the unique piece in detail. The vehicle is of course part of the limited series of the announced 25 cars of the 400R series and impresses with a particularly clean look. The olive green paintwork takes away the corners and edges of the body a little compared to the red version, which is by no means a negative aspect.
state-of-the-art headlights on the 400R
Gunther Werke even claims that this vehicle is even better than the red show car from almost 3 years ago. And Gunther Works believes that this vehicle would be the result if Porsche had continued to develop the air-cooled 993 to this day. And if you look at the classic body with the widened aprons and fenders, it could well get there. Small details such as the state-of-the-art dark LED headlights with daytime running lights or the cutting-edge LED rear lights in the classic light bar at the rear only reveal the components of the present on the oldi at a second glance. The aggressive rear view of the specimen from 2018 with the towering spoiler is defused on the olive-green vehicle with a ducktail spoiler lip, which in any case benefits the lines as we find it. The 25-year-old XNUMX thus appears more delicate and less intrusive. But in the end, of course, it's all a matter of taste.
mighty wide cheeks in front and back
The changes that make up this vehicle are beyond any doubt. The new interpretation of the 993 is widened by approx. 60 mm and components such as the roof and the trunk lid are made of ultra-light carbon. The rear wing and the aprons are made of a carbon fiber composite. And in addition to the spectacular appearance, the engine is of course an absolute highlight. The 4,0 is powered by a newly built 450-liter six-cylinder boxer from Rothsport Racing that sends 400 Nm and 7.800 hp via a modern Getrag six-speed manual transmission with a limited slip differential to the rear axle. The engine turns up to 2 rpm. and is acoustically perfectly underpinned by means of a handmade sports exhaust system. Gunther works uses a KW Clubsport XNUMX-Way coilover suspension with KW HLS system (hydraulic lift system) that the body lifts up to 40 mm at the push of a button.
a lot of carbon, green and orange / brown
And the glossy black (not installed on the pictures) three-piece forged wheel set in 18 inches. It is equipped with Pirelli P Zero Rosso tires in the format 245 / 35-18 and 315 / 30-18 which guarantee the best performance. And the interior is also painstakingly handcrafted. There is a welded roll bar, carbon bucket seats, a acid leather interior in dark red and many small details such as full carbon door panels, Greenwich door sills or new instruments in the fully leather-covered dashboard. The result is another gorgeous vehicle that costs half a million dollars (plus base vehicle) but is also incredibly expensive.
