Mason Whitlow is known as a specialist in technical support for tuner Holley Performance. And he's with the film series Fast and Furious grew up. He himself says: "Fast and Furious shaped me early on in my life when it comes to my love for cars". And you can see that on his Honda S2000 that he bought at some point. One day Whitlow decided to put the little athlete in a race against a Dodge Neon SRT4. But the neon with turbo power has mercilessly sunk the S2000. On that day Whitlow decided to turbocharger the F20C four-cylinder. But even that was not enough in the end. Mason wanted even more power and decided to completely remove the Honda four-cylinder and replace it with a General Motors V8.
6,2 liter L92 V8 under the hood
Whitlow's S2000 now has a 6,2L L92 V8 under the hood, which is equipped with a Holley Dominator EFI system, a 105mm Holley throttle body, a Holley Frostbite cooler and a mighty Boostlab turbocharger. So far, the V8 made a good 600 hp, but with the switch to E85 fuel, a huge 707 hp and 936 NM torque are now available. Incidentally, all of this with only 10 psi boost pressure. With a little more, the V8 could probably produce a lot more power. By the way, the S2000 from Whitlow was built for the quarter mile and, like the cars from “Fast and Furious”, recently completed the stage in 10 seconds. And Whitlow will probably be working on the 9-second mark.
