After tuners like G-Power, AC Schnitzer or 3D design the BMW traditional tuner Hamann Motorsport has now also refined the new 5 series G30 & G31. Whether sedan or touring, the modifications are available for both variants. The main focus is on a chic aerodynamics package that consists of a filigree front spoiler attachment, side skirts, a roof spoiler and a rear apron insert. Optionally, you can equip the 5er with tailor-made air inlet covers and rear winglets that you know from motorsport. By the way, the changes to the rear end are available in two versions.
You can choose between an elegant or a very sporty rear end and only personal taste decides here. Of course, the team from Laupheim also has performance upgrades for the 5 series at the start. And these have it all, especially in view of the new M5. But even the 520d can be on the road with Hamann Motorsport Power and is pushed by 30 hp to up to 220 hp. At the same time, the torque increases to 460 Newton meters, which is of course clearly noticeable compared to the 400 NM standard output.
Not quite finished yet, but already in the works is a Hamann Motorsport sound package that will come in the form of a sports exhaust system with a maximum of four tailpipes and anodised tailpipe trims in silver or black. The highlight, however, should definitely be the soon to be available increase in performance for the brand new F90 M5, which the tuner wants to boost to 630 hp in a first attempt. And the dynamics are also optimized so that the performance can be optimally implemented, Hamann has developed a tuning of the chassis. A lowering of about 30 millimeters is achieved by means of sport springs and in combination with wheel spacers the last bit of sportiness is squeezed out of the chassis.
The appearance is optically rounded off with an in-house wheel set and for the presentation vehicle the decision was made to use 21-inch Hamann Anniversary Evo Black Line rims with tires in 255/30/21 on the front and 295/25/21 on the rear axle. The built-in kidneys in black come from the BMW M Performance Parts shelf and in combination with Hamann emblems at the front and rear, the appearance could not be more successful. If we get more details about the changes, there is of course, as always, an update for this report.
