Hennessey H650 Supercharger Upgrade for the Cadillac Escalade!

A Cadillac Climbing is among the most powerful and brutal SUVs you can buy. As a veritable competitor for the AMG models of the G-Class from Mercedes-Benz, it ensures that the rich and beautiful of this world rejoice. No matter what you think as a mere mortal, the vehicle is simply iconic when it comes to flaunting a certain wealth. In view of this, it is also not surprising that the US tuner Hennessey presents a supercharger for the Escalade, which breathes even more horsepower and torque into the colossus. The clientele of Cadillacs knows how to appreciate it and is happy that the upgrade can be bought.

You can never have enough performance!

The compressor set, which goes by the name "H650", consists of a 2,9-liter compressor, an intercooler, a newly calibrated engine management system and a stainless steel exhaust system with a catalytic converter. This increases the engine's standard performance anyway an impressive 426 hp to 659 hp. The maximum torque of the tuning kit is also a tight 892 Newton meters, which means that the "Tuning Escalade" has only 32 hp less power than the Climbing V. Despite the reduced performance, the tuned Escalade has seven Newton meters more torque than the V version, which generates 885 Newton meters as standard.

Performance promises plenty of potential!

Thanks to the increased performance and the extremely strong torque, the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h takes just 5,3 seconds. Thus, the tuned Escalade is 0,8 seconds faster to 100 kilometers per hour than the series. However, it still misses the real "V" by 0,9 seconds in the sprint to country road speed. So you have to live with compromises compared to the Escalade V, but since the kit costs “only” 27.950 US dollars, it can be overcome. In the case of the V version, the whole thing would cost a whopping $38.950 more.

Our conclusion:

  • A sensible performance kit for all tuning fans who live by the motto that there is no substitute for performance. We find the compressor kit to be good and think that in theClimbing something like this is needed to realize its true potential.
