With the McLaren 600LT, the British manufacturer opened the next chapter in its long-tail history last year. Based on the 570s Coupe, it is the counterpart to the Porsche 911 Turbo S (991.2). This is made possible by the 600 PS & 620 NM strong V8 biturbo in the rear, which, in combination with a dry weight of only 1247 kilograms, ensures that the 600LT accelerates to 2,9 km / h in a crazy 100 seconds. The LT reaches 8,2 km / h after just 200 seconds and the sound barrier of 24,9 km / h should be broken after just 300 seconds. With a top speed of dizzying 328 km / h, the 911 Turbo S has to be content with the 600LT pulling away constantly from 100 km / h.

If the owner of a 600LT doesn't just want to annoy a Turbo S driver, but also humiliate them, tuner Hennessey Performance will soon have exactly the right thing in store. Last weekend, the American tuner presented a 600LT on Instagram with the note that the 2019 HPE800 McLaren 600LT is in the works. Yes, not just that. A HPE700 and a crazy HPE1000 kit are also to come. And as the name suggests, the 3,8-liter twin-turbo V8 should then receive an increase in performance to 700, 800 or even a crazy 1000 hp. By the way, he would sometimes sit clearly “in front of” the McLaren Senna. Hennessey should achieve the extra performance, among other things, by means of a new charge air cooler, improved intake and a stronger fuel pump.

A titanium exhaust system, new engine management (software) or modified turbochargers can also be expected. At least when it comes to the HPE800 kit. The HPE700 should come up with fewer modifications. Of course, the HPE1000 kit needs even more to tickle 1.001 PS & 1.172 NM torque from the M838T. It is not known whether there will be new alloy wheels and aerodynamic parts. Again, it should be certain that the HPE800 / 700 and the 1000 kit also fit into the 600LT Spider (from 2019). We are excited to see when the Hennessey Performance McLaren 600LT will be officially presented. Update 03.2020: While we are still waiting for the HPE1000 we enjoy the following video, which shows how the Porsche 911 GT2 RS (991.2) against the HPE700 Hennessey McLaren 600LT (gchanged software, downpipes, sports air filter, sports exhaust) tries. If we get more information, there is of course an update for this report. You will be informed if you simply use ours Feed subscribe to. Have fun watching the pictures and stay true to us!
