Curtain up for one of the world's strongest outdoor campers! From Texas tuner Hennessey Performance comes fresh the one already known +1.000 hp Mammoth Ram 1500 TRX in combination with official camping equipment. In other words, the legendary Hellcat engine in the front, with eight cylinders in a V arrangement and supercharging, now not only uses its 6,2-liter displacement for the big show, but actually becomes a sensible camper. Even if the term "useful" should be viewed relatively in view of the factory 712 hp and a maximum of 881 Newton meters. In connection with the Hennessey performance increase to over 1.000 hp, there is no longer any need for an explanation. Now the only thing missing is special camping equipment for the extreme Hennessey RAM TRX 6×6.

now also with roof tent

The team upgrades the TRX conversions with the nickname Mammoth as a two-axle pickup to 1.026 hp and a maximum of 1.314 Newton meters, and if that's one number too much, you can go to the "weaker“Mammoth 900 with 925 hp and a maximum of 1.184 Nm. But the vehicle from the pictures is a Mammoth 1000. This enjoys the Hellcat V8 with the mentioned 1.026 PS & 1.314 Newton meters, which is also coupled to an eight-speed automatic and drives all four wheels. It accelerates the colossus to country road speed in just 3,2 seconds (Series 4,5) and the quarter mile is completed in just 11,4 seconds and at a crazy 193 km/h. The tuning is made possible by a larger compressor, new belt pulleys, a different air intake, a new crankcase ventilation, different injectors and a special chip tuning.

two optics packages for the Mammoth

The V8 also announces itself acoustically by means of stainless steel manifolds, sport catalysts and new exhaust tailpipes and a lot else is happening. The already extremely impressive appearance ex works with space for up to six people can be upgraded by Hennessey with two optics packages. A "Stage 1 set" with new aprons (front with XXLRammschutz & Additional LED lighting) and there is also a ten-spoke 20-inch wheelset with 35 inches (0,89 m). Off-road tires. There is also a pull-out cover for the loading area in combination with various lettering and plaques (Hennessey Ram TRX Mammoth 1000 Supercharged) including small details in the interior.

Lifting with Stage 2 kit

And if the Stage 1 extension is not enough for you, Hennessey can also offer the so-called Stage 2 package with an optional Höherlegung order by 64 millimeters. This is joined by one leveling on the front axle and the 20 inch wheel set mentioned above can then also be covered with powerful 37 inch (0,94 m) off-road tires. At the latest then, however, you should also use the electrically foldable ones treads order. And then there is what this article is actually about. The Hennessey Camping Package! This includes a hard shellRooftent, which is attached to a special frame above the loading area. You can get into the tent via a pull-out Presenters and even an awning is included. In addition, the side frames allow additional equipment to be accommodated. The accessories of the Overland Edition (whether for the Mammoth 900 or the 1000 variant) stately 19.950 dollars (approx. 19.200 €)

also as a closed version

And as an alternative, there is even a closed version of the tuned pickup. But then it is no longer a pickup, but an XXL SUV. Because Hennessey then removes the rear wall from the pick-up driver's cab and uses the loading area for the interior design. The roof hardly changes, apart from the length. And at the rear there is still the fully usable tailgate. Even rear side windows are installed and a third row of seats is installed inside. Compared to the occupants of the first and second row with the four optional "Captain's Chairs" seats, this row of seats should be seen more as a makeshift.

Incidentally, the tuner would like to build a maximum of 200 vehicles per year at prices starting at 150.000 dollars (approx. 144.000 €) for the pickup and the SUV, which should only be available 20 times, starts at a hefty 375.000 dollars (approx. 361.000 €). The three-axle vehicle will only be available three times, each for around 500.000 dollars (approx. 481.000 €). If we get more information, there is of course an update for this report.
