Did you know that the new Honda Civic Type R was launched just two years after the last Civic Type R? Just in time for the 25th anniversary of the Type R (NSX Type R - 1992), Honda has presented the 320PS strong and now fifth generation of the compact sports car and is showing a completely newly developed vehicle. Honda explains the quick appearance of the new Type R with the fact that the top model was developed at the same time as the civilian Civic. Visually, however, one has now apparently admitted that the many spoilers, edges and beads of the predecessor were probably a number too many and so the Japanese have the design some defused. But even the new is definitely anything but unobtrusive because both the hood including air opening, the eye-catching body kit with flaps all around or the huge and fixed rear wing make clear that everything is designed for speed. This set-up also works shows a lap time of 7: 43.8 on the Nordschleife which currently means the lap record for front-wheel drive.

On the website of the wheel label HRE Performance Wheels a few days ago pictures of a red Civic Type R were published which already received the first modifications. One has installed a HRE FF15 wheelset in 19 inches which is one inch smaller than the standard wheels, but also brings significantly less weight. The painting of the rims is matt black and looks good with the red paint as we find. Apart from the new wheelset, the Type R seems to have received a subtle lowering, but this is currently no information known to us so we leave you at this point with the pictures alone. 🙂 If we still get some details about further changes, there is of course an update for this post. About the update you will be informed if yours Feed subscribe to. We hope you enjoy watching.
