Did you know that the TT RS was the most powerful and fastest sports variant of the Audi TT of the 8J type and was presented in the first quarter of 2009? The TTrs is powered by a significantly modified, but basically taken from the US model of the VW Jetta, inline five-cylinder, which thanks to its 2,5l displacement - as a TFSI - delivers a whopping 250 kW (340 PS). Consisting of high-strength vermicular graphite cast iron for the crankcase, specially manufactured pistons made of cast aluminum, of course including forged connecting rods, exhaust valves with sodium filling, camshafts that can be hydraulically adjusted in both directions by 42 degrees and have a two-stage chain drive, the already mentioned TFSI injection technology, steel Tie rods that are screwed through the cylinder head (incidentally derived from the V10 engine of the R8) and the crankcase, a significantly larger turbocharger, etc.

The maximum torque of 450 Nm, which is continuously available in the engine speed range between 1600 and 5300 rpm, ensures that the TT with a manual 6-speed gearbox can go from 0 to 100 km / h in 4,6 s (Coupé) or Accelerates 4,7 s (Roadster) and reaches 200 km / h after 15,9 s (Coupé) or 16,9 s (Roadster). From 2010, in addition to the manual 6-speed gearbox, there was also the fast S tronic 7-speed dual clutch transmission that made it possible to accelerate from 4,3 to 0 km / h in just 100s and without any interruption in tractive power . The TTrs can also be seen on the outside compared to the "normal" variants. The radiator grille got a shiny black diamond grille and the front bumper got enlarged air intakes. It also includes a high-performance brake system with 370 mm composite discs and a diffuser insert and a fixed rear wing.

"YOUR Alu's & lowering"

The exhaust system of the TTr is ex works with two pipes and two large oval tailpipes. In addition, the exhaust system is already equipped with switching flaps ex works, which enable the characteristics of the exhaust system to be changed using the sports button in the center console. Highlights are also the driver information system, which enables additional data such as boost pressure, oil temperature or even the lap time to be called up at any time. As an option, there were also particularly stylish bucket seats for the driver and front passenger. So much for the TTRS 😉 Now for the current vehicle that was put on an elegant set of HRE Performance Wheels FF01 alloy wheels by the tuner RSR Performance. The paint on the rims is anthracite and goes perfectly with the white paint on the body. Of course, there was also a lowering so that the new 20 inch wheelset sits so perfectly in the wheel arch.

Other changes are eye-catching side flaps on the front bumper, a black painted Audi emblem at the front (removed at the rear), a modified AP Racing brake system with yellow brake calipers and slotted brake discs front and rear. It is almost certain that an increase in performance has also been made and it would not be surprising if a sports exhaust system is also installed. But we can only guess both because we have unfortunately not yet had any exact technical details about the vehicle. If we get more information about the changes, there is of course an update for this post. You will be informed about the update when you get ours Feed subscribed. We hope you enjoy watching.
