Crazy! Hummer H1 Tracktool - Mil-Spec makes it possible

Here comes the probably craziest project that the guys from Mil-Spec Automotive so far have got on their feet. So great the previously converted projects #001, #002, #003 and are now # 004, this one beats them all. The “skunk-works” project is a completely rebuilt Hummer H1 for the “racetrack”. Yes exactly for the racetrack! Almost 4,70 meters long, 2,20 meters wide, 2 meters high and almost 3 tons heavy. Key data that can not be combined with a racetrack in the beginning. So far… The unbelievable conversion is based on a four-door convertible pick-up H1 and is hugely “lowered”. Thanks to the fully adjustable coilover kit and completely redesigned chassis geometry, the Hummer is lowered by a whopping 7 inches (just under 18 cm) and is also on special multi-piece alloy wheels with Pirelli P-Zero tires in kingsize format.

There is also a completely new brake system with six-piston brake calipers to decelerate the projectile appropriately before the next hairpin. The H1 has even retained the all-wheel drive and of course the performance has also been significantly improved. While the vehicles linked above have so far sent a maximum of 500 PS & 1355 NM torque to the wheels, this one is clear superior. Here the huge 6,6-liter Duramax diesel V8 was pushed to unbelievable 800 PS & 2000 NM torque and, accompanied by a deep black soot cloud, ensures breathtaking acceleration values and even drifts. In the style of the already converted H1, this copy has also been completely rebuilt and has a restored body.

You can see screwed-on fender flares all around, other bumpers, a huge bonnet with a huge power dome air opening and a fully usable loading area. And the cabin has also been redesigned in the style of the other vehicles. At least in the previous pictures we can't see much of it. Sparco seats seem to be installed on the right and left and a sports steering wheel may also be integrated. There is a difference! While the 4 produced copies of the 12 limited unit were planned exactly the same way, this one is not the case. Because Mil-Spec wants to finish in any case first the 12 targeted off-road H1 and can not imagine at least for the moment to produce a series for the racetrack.

In any case, however, a plan B for the future in the drawer and possibly 12 rennstreckentaugliche copies yes, a variant for well-heeled H1 fans. More details are not available for this single piece at the moment. If we receive timely information on other changes not mentioned before, there is of course as always an update for this report.
