In the revised i30 N Performance, the newly developed, optionally available dual clutch transmission N DCT with eight gears is introduced for the first time. It accelerates the gear changes and can either be used automatically or operated via paddle shifters on the steering wheel. Those who opt for the automatic transmission also receive the navigation package as standard with the likewise new 10,25-inch touchscreen including radio navigation system, Bluelink® telematics services and live services as well as traffic sign recognition.

Extensive equipment and connectivity functions ex works

However, all vehicles with manual transmission also have extensive standard equipment. The i30 N, for example, has 18-inch alloy wheels, and features full LED headlights and taillights, a sports exhaust system, a sports suspension with adaptive dampers and an automated double-declutching function when downshifting. There are also front and rear parking sensors as well as a reversing camera, two-zone automatic air conditioning, an 8-inch touchscreen, smartphone integration via Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto ™, a shelf with wireless charging function for suitable smartphones, a rain sensor, and a lane following assistant as well as an emergency brake assistant including pedestrian detection.

The i30 N Performance and the i30 Fastback N Performance are also equipped as standard with an electronic differential lock and a larger brake system (front discs with a diameter of 360 instead of 330 millimeters). The sports exhaust system also contains a flap control, the rear windows are tinted dark and the windshield is designed to be heat-insulating. Both vehicles have 19-inch forged rims, which not only make the performance variants look even sportier, but are also 3,6 kilograms lighter than the 19-inch rims of the previous models. This reduces the weight of the unsprung masses and thus improves driving dynamics.

New sports bucket seats with illuminated N logo!

Visually, the revised versions of the Hyundai i30 N and i30 N Performance can be recognized primarily by the new cascade radiator grille, the V-shaped LED daytime running lights and the enlarged tailpipes of the exhaust system. A highlight of the new interior are the N sports bucket seats, which are only available as an option for the performance variants, with reduced weight, reinforced lateral support and an illuminated N logo on the integrated headrests. Drivers of the i30 N will find sports seats with electrically adjustable lumbar support and manually adjustable thigh support as standard.
