The Korean opponent of the VW Golf GTI in the form of the Hyundai i30 N now comes in a strictly limited edition of only 600 vehicles. And 500 even come to Germany. Of the Hyundai i30 N Project C has celebrated its world premiere with the launch of the IAA 2019 and is based on the 275 PS variant of the compact sports car i30 N. It is by the use of carbon fiber laminate but 50 kilograms lighter and got a once again improved chassis that brings him closer to the road 6 mm. In any case, one of the visual highlights is the flood of visible carbon components. There was a bonnet made of CFRP, a new rear diffuser, distinctive side skirts and the front splitter is unmistakably made of carbon.

This is joined by an 19 Zoll Motorsport wheelset from OZ equipped with 235 / 35er slippers. The wheel set saves a total of 22 kilograms, making it the most effective component of weight savings. But even the modified aluminum components of the rear suspension contribute with just under 5 kg of savings to their part. The strut bar in the boot also ensures more torsional rigidity and makes the athletic claim clear. And the cabin is no exception. There are ultra-light Sabelt-carbon sports seats that can only be adjusted manually and to wrap large parts of the body in Alcantara.

Everything is skilfully staged with different color accents in orange, a plaque with a serial number or the chic aluminum gear knob. And from an electronic point of view, the Sport and N-Drive driving modes for Project C have been revised for even more driving dynamics. The still 275 PS & 353 Nm strong two-liter four-cylinder turbo gasoline engine allows the i30 N Project C to accelerate to 6 km / h in just 100 seconds and fly a maximum of 250 km / h. It is roughly on par with a GTI “Clubsport S” which, with its 310 hp, accelerates to 0,2 km / h just 100 seconds faster. Have fun looking at the pictures and videos and stay true to us!
