International Harvester Company

It was a long time ago that the International Harvester Company (IHC, later IH) was an American manufacturer of automobiles. The company was founded on August 12, 1902 as a result of the merger of McCormick Harvesting Machine Company, Deering Harvester Company, Plano Harvester Co., Milwaukee Harvester Co. & Warder and Bushnell & Glessner Co. in the period between 1907 and 1911 and in the In the 1930s and between 1956 and 1980, the company manufactured passenger cars that were often given different names. The brand name from 1907 to 1909 was "International" and changed from 1910 to 1911 to "IHC" and then back to "International". And with the International Harvester Company mb H. in Neuss, founded in 1908, there was even a brief German subsidiary as IHC Neuss. In 1997, however, the plant in Neuss was closed. And IHC also made some off-road vehicles. For example the two-door Scout (1961–1980) or the four-door Travelall (1953–1975), which are the counterpart to vehicles from Jeep, Chevrolet, Ford and Dodge acted. The International Harvester brand currently belongs to the CNH Global group but is no longer marketed. More about the company is on cnindustrial.com.
