It took some time but now we have a completely rebuilt vehicle from the tuner Icon for you. Curtain up for the Icon reformer Ford F-100 from 1970. A completely restored and rebuilt one-off piece that was created as a typical restomod project in hundreds of hours of manual work. However, while you can discover the modern components in the old tin dress with many other classic restomods, this is not the case with the Icon Reformer Ford F-100. Here you might think that the practical cargo donkey from the 70s is in a well-preserved original condition and a typical classic car. But at the latest the Ford 5,0-liter Coyote V8 engine with 426 hp from the present destroys this illusion.

The state-of-the-art engine is also coupled to a Ford AOD automatic transmission and does not really miss the choppy shifting ex works. And that also applies to the engine. The fifth-generation pickup was also available ex works with a V8 engine with a displacement of up to 6,4 liters, but more than 260 hp was not possible with it. And of course, the ultra-modern Advance Adapter Atlas II transfer case, the powerful Dana axles on the new frame and the chassis with Eibach springs and Fox Racing shock absorbers never existed. And so that the strengthened F-100 pickup is adequately braked again, Icon is also fitted with a Brembo brake system with 6-piston calipers at the front and 4-piston calipers at the rear with standard brake discs.

But all of these are changes that the layperson in particular will never recognize at first glance, which also applies to the many small details such as the LED lighting of the loading area or the modern headlights at the front and rear. And of course the cabin is no longer standard and has been equipped with many loving details. There was a completely new leather interior in the style of the 70s and in technical terms, for example, the Dakota digital instrument cluster with the classic look of that time shows up and the old car radio controls a hidden Bluetooth audio system. In our opinion, the absolute highlight is the functional air conditioning system. It never happened in this vehicle.
