Chasing records: infinitas BMW M5 F90 towards 400 km / h

You can set records! For 10 years the “infinitas Hurricane RR” based on the BMW M5 E60 has been unbeaten worldwide and is the fastest street-legal sedan. Incredible 372 KM / H (GPS measured) with 900 PS and 820 NM torque. The Sprint succeeds with the over-5 in just 4.2 seconds - despite rear-wheel drive - to 100 km / h and the centerpiece at that time was the in-house bi-compressor system (Parent company ASA-Group) that was planted on the V10. Ifinitas made further world records possible in 2008 for infinitas M5 HURRICANE Touring E61 with a measured speed of 362 km / h and an output of 820 hp, followed by the record set in 2010 as the fastest four-seater coupe in the form of the infinitas M6 HURRICANE RR which even by the one-off G6M V10 HURRICANE CS ULTIMATE was topped in terms of performance. The "normal" RR M6 achieved a measured speed of 372 km / h thanks to an output of 800 hp and an M6 of the E63 generation with V10 was used as the base vehicle.

And even the fastest LPG-powered car comes from infinitas. That is the infinitas M5 HURRICANE GS with a measured speed of 333 km / h and an output of 660 hp. Here too, the M5 E60 with V10 was the base vehicle. Most recently, the fastest M2014 caught the eye in 3. The infinitas M3 HURRICANE reached a measured speed of 337,6 km / h with an output of 615 hp and used the M3 of the generation E92 as a base vehicle. And as announced a new record is expected to fall this year. Infinitas wants to set its own speed record with the infinitas hurricane 2 beat. The result? A top speed record for sedans. The goal: the Hurricane 2 with almost 400 km / h (well over 372 km / h) chase across the high-speed test track.

The name "HURRICANE" has always stood for brute performance with world record potential and this is what the new one should prove. Because then, as now, the following applies: Only the absolute spearhead of the infinitas vehicles may bear the name "Hurricane"! A BMW M5 F90 Competition as a 5M bi-turbo with well over 1.000 PS (+375) and well over 1.200 NM (+450) torque should make this possible. It should sprint to 2.5 km / h in about 100 seconds and there should even be a touring version (quasi as F91 Competition) give. The "infinitas Hurricane 2 Touring" with the technology of the M5 F90 Competition in a 5 Touring G31 body. And he too is subjected to the radical infinitas performance cure. We are curious ... If we receive new information about the F90 M5 from Infinitas or the planned F91 Touring in a timely manner, there will of course be an update for this report.
