More and more up Electric drive converted classics appear. The so-called Electromods are for better or for worse something that lovers of old cars have to deal with more and more. Even if it can permanently ruin the original condition. Such a conversion often makes the vehicle better than ever. And that is partly the case with this vintage Jaguar from 1950. The is installed under the sheet metal Technology from a Tesla Model 3 included Battery pack. Although the classic cannot keep up with the range of the Tesla, it is doubtful whether this is absolutely necessary for a classic car.

Jaguar powered by Tesla Model 3

In the video by SuperbMatt it is shown after a good year of work that the old Jag is now fully functional and drivable. Even a longer tour is carried out to test the range. As already mentioned, the battery pack used comes from a Model 3 and has a capacity of around 50 kWh when new. And interestingly, the old Jaguar with the Tesladrive components, suspension and the Battery pack even as heavy as the Model 3. But the aerodynamics however, is a disaster. It is so bad that the range compared to the Model 3 is probably only around 50%. But it's best if you just take a look for yourself.
