In 2019 the VW Group launched its new entry-level brand called Jetta in China. Based on current VW models, but significantly cheaper and with a lifestyle character, the Group's new brand is primarily aimed at young drivers in the urban centers of the metropolises. The Jetta models are produced by the FAW-VW joint venture in Changchun, China. So far, two SUV models and a small sedan are available, but the model portfolio is to be supplemented by further models in order to gradually expand the brand, which is already very well established on the Chinese market. Thus the already good sales figures should be increased. An export to Europe is not planned in order not to endanger the sales of the Volkswagen core brand VW. When it comes to tuning, the brand is still in its infancy, but due to the close relationship with various VW models, there could be many tuning parts for the affordable entry-level brand of the Volkswagen Group in the future.
