New Jaguar F-Pace SVR is faster and even more powerful!

The new edition of the Jaguar F-PACE SVR is faster, more dynamic and more sophisticated than ever. Thanks to targeted improvements, the Jaguar SV team has raised the sporty spearhead of the performance SUV series to a new level of performance and comfort. The updates include a combination of new hardware, elements of the electronic vehicle architecture EVA 2.0 from Jaguar, details inspired by the world of motorsport, a luxurious and performance-focused cockpit and the latest technologies in the areas of connectivity and infotainment. Michael van der Sande, Managing Director, Jaguar Special Vehicle Operations, says: “The original F-PACE SVR from 2018 was already extremely full of character, was very well received by customers and became the best-selling Jaguar SV model to this day. The new version builds on this success and raises the bar in the high-performance SUV segment even higher thanks to numerous improvements. "

2021 Jaguar F-Pace SVR

Jaguar is also exclusively equipping the new F-PACE SVR with the legendary 5.0-liter V8 engine. With the help of a twin vortex compressor, it develops 405 kW (550 PS) *, but increases the maximum torque by another 20 to 700 Nm (from 3500 rpm). As a result, the new F-PACE SVR accelerates from 4,0 to 0 km / h in 100 seconds - 0,3 seconds faster than its predecessor. The top speed increased again by three to 286 km / h. In order to safely transfer the increased loads, the drive train now has the same torque converter that Jaguar already used in the XE SV Project 2018 super sports sedan in 8. In parallel to the improved torque and acceleration values, CO2 emissions fell from 272 to 260 g / km and fuel consumption from 11,9 to 11,4 liters / 100 km.

new Dynamic Launch function in SVR

The power transmission and the dynamic control loops also benefit from targeted fine-tuning. The dynamic mode was designed for a more intense driving experience; A new Dynamic Launch function allows the SVR to accelerate even more directly from a standstill. At the same time, the top dog of the F-PACE pack can now be moved more comfortably with a relaxed driving style, without losing its dynamism in the high-speed range. The Jaguar F-PACE SVR - a performance SUV for almost all purposes. In order to achieve an even closer connection between driver, vehicle and road, the SV technicians have also re-tuned the steering and its electronic power assistance. Modified chassis sockets and new maps for adaptive damper adjustment ensure the balanced ride comfort already outlined at a moderate pace.

Disc brakes - front 395 & rear 396 mm

Future drivers of an F-PACE SVR can also look forward to a clearer brake pedal feel. The two-part disc brakes - 395 mm in diameter at the front and 396 mm at the rear - are supported in the new model by an integrated brake booster (IPB - Integrated Power Brake). This electro-hydraulic one-box solution replaces the previous construction of master cylinder / vacuum booster, vacuum pump and brake modulator. Together with a recalibration of the system, this results in a more clearly defined pedal feel and a shorter pedal travel - just as sporty drivers appreciate it. The improved cooling and the further optimized aerodynamics of the vehicle also benefit the braking performance.

5,0 liter V8 engine & eight-speed automatic

The 5,0-liter V8 engine is coupled to the extremely fast and at the same time gently shifting eight-speed automatic 8HP70 from ZF. It guarantees ultra-fast gear changes and effortless performance that is tailored to the respective driving situation. "The change to the new EVA 2.0 electric vehicle architecture from Jaguar gave us the opportunity to re-study the calibration of each individual component. And to fine-tune the driving experience so that the driver now feels it to be even more focused and even more sophisticated. Thousands of detail changes have taken the F-PACE SVR to the next level.“PAUL BARRITT MANAGING PROGRAM ENGINEER, F-PACE SVR.

Jaguar all-wheel drive including the Intelligent Driveline Dynamics (IDD) control system is also used as standard in the new Jaguar F-PACE SVR. The Adaptive Dynamics chassis guarantees a precise, dynamic chassis set-up in combination with a balanced ride comfort; Using the configurable mode, the driver can also further individualize or fine-tune the chassis characteristics according to his own taste. With the help of a stopwatch, a G-force display and a graphic of the pedal position, the driver can precisely monitor and follow the performance called up in dynamic mode.

When designing the new F-PACE SVR, the SV engineers were inspired by their experience in motorsport. A completely new front bumper with larger air intakes ensures a more intense air flow towards the cooling systems of the drive train and the brakes; At the same time, the visually more aggressive appearance reduced lift by 35 percent and improved the drag coefficient from 0,37 to 0,36.

Interior with materials for a dynamic character

In the interior of the new F-PACE SVR, new materials now emphasize the dynamic character of the cockpit and its controls even more clearly. The seat inner panels and door panels are made of premium velor; the side cushions of the seats are covered with Oxford leather. The interactive 12,3 '' HD driver's display is also framed in premium velor, complemented by black contrasting stitching. In addition to a veneer set in "Aluminum Technical", there is also an optional premium option in the form of open-pored carbon fiber inlays.

Also available as an extra are slim, semi-aniline leather sports seats. They have the same perforation pattern and the SVR logo on the headrests as the suede / leather seats, but have a unique monogram embroidery in the shoulder area and, for the first time, on the backrest. For use in the F-PACE SVR, the new Jaguar Drive Selector received a special fine treatment aimed at high performance in the form of a cover made of nubbed Monogram leather with an embossed SVR logo. The new SVR steering wheel with split rim (smooth leather inside with colored contrasting stitching, leather with monogram studs on the outside) includes shift paddles made of zinc alloy that are pleasant to the touch for particularly enjoyable manual gear changes.

Jaguar F-Pace SVR with Pivi Pro infotainment

Apart from that, the new F-PACE SVR also features all the other advanced technologies that Jaguar is adding to the 2021 model year of the rest of the F-PACE series. Such as Pivi Pro Infotainment, software over-the-air technology, active road noise suppression, the current driver assistance systems and the option of inductive charging of a smartphone.
