A noble Jaguar from the 1970s is also suitable Restomod-Project. The ultimate example of this is this specimen from the pictures, which has received a large amount of modifications and at the same time even to a tolerable extent as so-called Rat acts. Because typical injuries that 50 years of car life bring with them are clearly present on the vehicle. And the XJ6 also impressively proves that such a conversion does not necessarily have to run into the tens of thousands. Because all the changes that have been made so far have been affordable. Even the base price of the vehicle plays a role. Because such an XJ can, if it goes well, even for less than € 10.000 "the Geschoß" will. Of course, it goes without saying that such a vehicle is only rarely drivable or even blessed with TÜV. With a little patience and technical skill, these older Jags can be the perfect platform for a conversion into a one-off.

And Jacob Kravitz' (owner's) vehicle, a 1972 XJ6 of the first series, also known as "Old English", is proof of that. Jacob's Jaguar is a project he started with his father, but it's still a work in progress. And it will probably never be completely finished, because there are always changes or at least repairs to such a conversion. However, the goal has always been the same, and that is to continuously develop the XJ6 until it is perfect for its owner.

And that can go on for as long as it likes as there are no plans to ever sell the XJ6. And some details have already been implemented. Arguably the biggest change is what now sits under the XJ6's long bonnet. Because while the Jag was delivered from the factory with the XK in-line six-cylinder, this unique specimen has an American one Small block V8 from a Chevrolet. Specifically it is a 350cc V8 from a 85 Chevy pickup. And that not only breathed more power into the old Jag, but also increased its reliability.
