For the Americans, it has been part of the tradition for decades to stuff a V8 engine into a family vehicle. And the base does not really matter. But especially SUVs and pickups are popular here. And it is just as traditional to tune these vehicles into spheres that are in part immeasurable. And one of the most popular vehicles in the tuning industry is the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 with 6,4-liter V8. Until 2018, he was the absolute king! But then came the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk with its 710 PS Hemi 6.2 supercharged V8, which was originally used in the Dodge Challenger and Dodge Charger Hellcat. The “Zaimiam” project has now declared war on the Trackhawk. And that with an insane 1.200 hp. This is exactly what the V8 engine of the Grand Cherokee SRT8 produces after extensive conversion.

And who now just asks where he has seen the vehicle before, we have Reported earlier this year about the SRT when the Cherokee "only" had 1.000 hp and stood on DC-FR4 Ferrada Wheels. And now there was another lookup regarding the performance and the chassis and the alloy wheels have already changed again. But first to increase performance. The most important details here are, compared to the series, a new compressor and of course a powerful sounding sports exhaust system with XXL tailpipes. In addition, there are a lot of other changes such as a new intake, optimized cooling or chip tuning that unites all components. The result makes the Trackhawk look really old and matches the brutal look of the Zaimiam.

new front bumper and fender flares

Because the already not very delicate body carries the well-known Renegade design Tyrannos body kit with huge fender flares all around, there was a complete new apron forward with huge air intakes and as a highlight the well-known hood with power dome in the style of the Dodge Demon. And the rear view has little in common with the series. Here sits a new rear apron with aggressive diffuser, there was a large roof spoiler and also an additional spoiler lip on the tailgate is installed. And the spring installed black DC-FR4 wheelset went down and was replaced by three-piece Ferrada USF02 forged wheels. We already have one BiTurbo Lamborghini Huracan seen.

huge 20 x 12 inches at the rear

The exact dimensions are 20 x 10,5 inches in front and behind there were huge 20 x 12 inches. And finally, you even kicked out the sports suspension and installed an Airride air suspension. At the touch of a button, this allows a lowering down to the last millimeter and thus a significant lowering compared to the series. Countless small details such as the Brembo sports brake system with slotted huge brake discs, the darkened headlamps front and rear, the remote rear wiper or even the completely darkened windows round off the Cherokee impressively. If we receive timely information on other changes not mentioned before, there is of course as always an update for this report. It is best to subscribe to our feed and if there is something new you will get in touch immediately. We wish you a lot of fun watching the pictures.

  1. Hello tuning blog team,
I am an absolute fan of the Jeep Grand Cherokee WK2. Since May I have owned a SRT from 2016 and devour all the more your reports on these vehicles. I have now noticed the front fenders with air vent on 2 Grancheros. To this day, I have not been able to find out on the Internet whether these custom-made items are available for purchase. I would be infinitely grateful if you could find out anything about it. Your blog is top notch, thank you for that and keep it up,
    Regards
    Tom

    • Hi Tom,

thank you for your comment and thank you for liking tuningblog. Which fenders do you mean? The ones on the vehicle for this post have no air outlets.
