Can you still remember the crazy one? Nissan GT-R or Widebody Subaru WRX STi from the Japanese tuner Cool racing recall? Both vehicles had a body that took hours of manual labor by "Rohan Izawa Art Design“Was decorated and in combination with some tuning components it became an absolute eye-catcher. And now there is another vehicle based on an old Chevrolet Impala from 1958, which, however, was completed for the SEMA Auto Show in 2018. With a little delay he can now also be seen on tuning blog. The Chevy has been completely restored and largely left in its original state, if you disregard the phenomenal paintwork and lowering. The team from was here again Rohan Izawa Art Design led by Takahiko Izawa responsible and again the result is more than just spectacular.

extremely complex project

And so spectacularly that the Impala won the main prize in the “Import Car” category at the last Tokyo Auto Salon 2019. The painting is created with several layers of special paint and in combination with very special stencils and a real engraving. In the end, the different silver tones create a deceptively realistic 3D color scheme that creates the unmistakable Rohan look. And of course, the engraving is partly milled into the metal by hand. But only partially and not completely! And the 3D metal engraving effect is only successful if the paint layers mentioned are meticulously applied. In any case, there is no question how extremely complex this process is and that the result definitely leads to a lot of attention.

machining from the dashboard

Everyone should decide for themselves whether it is of course everyone's taste. There is currently an opportunity to do so in the San Diego Automobile Museum, where the 1958 Chevrolet Impala is currently on display. Incidentally, there was also an Airride air suspension for the significant lowering, the engine compartment is completely clean and the V8 is largely decorated with chrome. In addition, the spectacular look is also available in the cabin, where, for example, the large dashboard was decorated by hand and then painted. If we receive timely information about further changes to the Impala, there is of course an update for this report. You will be informed if you simply use ours Feed subscribe to.
