Lamborghini is celebrating the production of its 400th Huracán racing car at the historic Sant'Agata Bolognese plant, where all Lamborghini, whether road or racing cars, have been born since 1963. A special moment was dedicated to this masterpiece when Stephan Winkelmann (Chairman and CEO), Maurizio Reggiani (Chief Technical Officer), Ranieri Niccoli (Chief Manufacturing Officer) and Giorgio Sanna (Head of Motorsport) with those responsible for the production of the Huracán Super Trofeo and GT3 Evo technicians responsible met.
"We are proud to celebrate this important milestone for Squadra Corse and the entire company", explains Winkelmann. “Squadra Corse was able to assert itself in the most important international competitions in just a few years. The Huracán GT3 and Super Trofeo are undisputed role models in the GT category. "
- Since 2014, 400 Huracán Super Trofeo and GT3 have rolled off the same line as their sister models for the road in Sant'Agata Bolognese
- In just six seasons, the Huracán GT3 won almost 100 races in the most prestigious GT competitions in the world
The first Huracán Super Trofeo was launched in 2014 to replace the Gallardo in the Lamborghini one-make championship, which is held in America, Asia, Europe and the Middle East. In the following year, the Huracán GT3 made its debut, which marked Lamborghini's official entry into the GT championships.
In six seasons, the Huracán GT3 and its successor, the GT3 Evo, won almost 100 races, including the Daytona 24-hour race three times in a row and the Sebring 12-hour race twice in a row, crowned in the truest sense the word of the "Triple Crown" in the GT World Challenge Europe 2019. In 2020 alone, the Huracán GT3 covered a total of 15 in 24 national and international championships under the direction of 88 different teams and in the experienced hands of 20.000 drivers km back.
