The Chinese start-up company Leapmotor, which presented the first concept car at the electronics trade fair CES Asia in 2018, has made it its mission to manufacture cheap, high-quality electric cars for everyone. In contrast to many other start-ups that manufacture electric vehicles, this company has no ambitions to penetrate the premium segment, but rather wants to offer affordable electric mobility for everyone. The first two models are the small e-sports car called S01 and the smart competitor T03, which can score points with a long range at low prices. Further models are already being planned, and plans are also being made to occupy the lucrative SUV segment. The name Leapmotor is derived from the English "Leapfrog", which means "quantum leap".
