Lotus was founded in 1952 by the British Colin Chapman. In small numbers, the Lotus Mark VI was the brand's first commercially successful series model. The cars at Lotus were mainly designed for the racetrack. This made them very popular for car tuning later on. The Lotus Elise is known from numerous racing games and is one of the most successful models from Lotus. It is seldom to be found on Germany's streets, but is traded from EUR 16.000. Further modifications can be made to these models according to the individual needs of the owner. The Lotus Elise is now in its third generation with the "S3" model. It will be replaced by the latest Lotus model, the Lotus "3-Eleven". It has been built since 2016 and produces 466 hp even without tuning. The roadster has a 3,5-liter gasoline engine and is limited to 311 vehicles. So driving a Lotus means exclusivity.
