If you read our blog regularly, then you surely know the projects of Russian tuning company Garage 54. We don't want to present such a fancy project to you today, but this is also a modified Lada that is currently causing a sensation on the Internet. The project is a Lada 2108, better known in Europe as Lada Samara, which has three doors and has been modified by its owner Maks Yakushkin according to every trick in the book. This project is probably quite unique when it comes to Lada tuning, because it is very professional, while unfortunately you can find a lot of rather weird or unprofessional tuned Lada's on the Internet, which are strongly reminiscent of craft stalls at the lowest level. This Lada wants to change that fundamentally, and proves that the Russian Volkswagen can also be modified into a real show car.

Stance tuning and widebody kit

The first thing you notice is the self-made widebody kit on the Samara, which is very similar to the body kits from Rocket Bunny remind. But the visual highlight are of course the bronze-colored multi-spoke rims with an extreme drop center look, which also have a chrome-colored tread to bring out the contrast between chrome and bronze. An aluminum adapter was also attached to each wheel in order to be able to install the special rims, which normally do not fit on the Samara. The rims are, by the way, the Enkei Decem10s model, which has been expanded from 15 × 8 inches to 15 × 10 inches. That is also noticeable Stance tuning of the car, which means that the Lada feels only a few millimeters above the asphalt, and is anything but made for Russia's bad roads.

Fortunately, the car has an Airlift air suspension, which can be raised in seconds as soon as the next pothole threatens to destroy the underbody. At the rear, the two extremely thin exhaust pipes are immediately noticeable, which look like two slim cigarettes in comparison to the otherwise common stovepipes on modified cars. In addition, a small black rump spoiler was attached, which is supposed to enhance the look of the 2108 a bit, but is so simple that it is almost invisible. At every tuning meeting in the world, the unique Lada would be a positive phenomenon that would attract the masses of car fans like a magnet.

Interior is also completely modified

In the interior, hands were also made, and for example the rear seat and the standard seats were removed. Now lives in the rear Roll cage, and instead of the plush armchairs, there were two Cobra sports bucket seats over Harness belts move into the Samara. Additional instruments for the air suspension were also installed, and instead of the standard valance, an airbag-free sports steering wheel was installed. Surprisingly, the spare wheel was preserved, but is now in the trunk, directly behind the cylinder for the air suspension.

Obviously nothing was changed on the engine.

Unfortunately, we do not know which of the available drives fired this project car, but this model only had engines with between 54 and 90 hp. These engine variants had between 1,1 and 1,6 liters displacement and were without turbocharging. Thus, the Samara, especially in the weakest version, is a traffic obstacle for today's conditions, which takes over 18 seconds from 0 to 100 km / h. The tuner Maks Yakushkin shouldn't care, because he doesn't want to race with the Lada, but rather to present the lovingly tuned sweetheart to his surroundings.

A Lada Samara can be had for a few hundred euros, and it is also relatively easy to modify such a car, as it does not have any complex technology and still contains a lot of mechanical components.
