And NO - we definitely haven't seen it all! We have never seen anyone buy a rare Lamborghini Espada (built between 1968 and 1978) and turns it into a hot rod. But that's exactly what the French tuner & hot rod specialist has Danton Arts Kustoms done. Lamborghini only built 108 vehicles of the factory-internal “Tipo 1217” designated Espada and one of them is now definitely “disfigured” forever. After the 350 GT / 400 GT, the Islero and the Miura, the Espada was the fourth model of the brand founded in 1963. So why not just take one of the countless Gallardos or maybe a Huracan?

Hard to recognize the Espada

You could even get over an Aventador here insofar as there is no SV or SVJ. You even have the big V12 if that's absolutely necessary. However, the base would still only have 2 seats - apparently it should definitely be 4. But enough with the unfounded whine! Because the unique Espada Hot Rod just looks great! Even if included the chopping and sectioning the shell almost everything was changed on the body is somehow still recognizable the base. Especially the tail with the prominent gills in the C-pillars is significantly less changed than the rest.

free-standing 345 & 275 slippers

It was completely cleared, the rear window has disappeared and the LED taillights are only similar to those of the original, but the base has not been completely changed here. It looks completely different with the side section and of course the front. The ultra-fat 19 & 20 inch GOVAD Forged alloy wheels in red and black are equipped with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires (345 & 275) and do not even bother to submerge in a wheel arch but are, typical for Hot Rod, installed free-standing. This of course ensures a huge increase in width and so it is not surprising that the Espada hardly fits in a normal lane as seen in the video.

something Huracan Performante is also included

A set of new brakes has also been donated to the project, and an original Lamborghini brake system with large perforated brake discs and black-painted brake calipers ensures adequate deceleration. The front fenders, like the bonnet, have completely disappeared. This means that the wheels are free-standing and you can take a look at the fantastic 325 PS V12 engine with a capacity of 3,9 liters. There were also modern sill panels with large air openings and TriColor design in the style of the Huracan Performante and a completely new front mask was created that is somewhat reminiscent of the Aventador. However, 4 round lens headlights in the style of the Espada with eye-catching daytime running lights similar to those from BMW are installed here.

similar to the Dodge Charger from Fast & Furious 8

Incidentally, in the Dodge Ice Charger from Fast & Furious 8, the windshield is fastened with rivets and screws and split into three parts by two longitudinal struts. There was also a violent sounding sports exhaust system, the stripped interior was given Spartan seats, a central speedometer and a rev counter on the roof and everything was garnished with hundreds of rivets and lots of metal. Finally, the body was covered with a matt gray lacquer dress and thus rounds off the Espada in dragstrip and zombie apocalypse look. Can you do ... Or? If we receive timely information on other changes not mentioned before, there is of course as always an update for this report.
