Automobili Lamborghini opens THE LOUNGE TOKYO in the exclusive residential area of Roppongi, the second location of its kind after New York in the USA. In the permanently set up Ad Personam Studio, customers can personalize the exterior and interior of their new Lamborghini down to the smallest detail. THE LOUNGE TOKYO not only opens up access to the world of Lamborghini for vehicle owners and VIPs, but also provides the ideal setting for meetings, events and exhibitions. The opening exhibition is marked by the collaboration between Lamborghini and the brand of the same name by the world-famous fashion designer Yohji Yamamoto: The lounge offers the perfect backdrop for the presentation of an Aventador S designed by YY and a joint capsule collection with three unique pieces: a mod coat and a bomber jacket and hooded sweatshirt.

When Mitja Borkert, Head of Design at Automobili Lamborghini, met Yohji Yamamoto at Paris Fashion Week in January 2020, he was impressed by the style of the presented collection in contrasting red and black and the outstanding craftsmanship of each item of clothing. It was obvious that Lamborghini and YY share the same brand values and the partnership was born. Inspired by the Paris collection, the Lamborghini Centro Stile imagined the Aventador S as a blank canvas. The characteristic Gandini line of every Lamborghini is still clearly recognizable on the Aventador, but designed with selected patterns from the fashion collection: The same designs also give the interior of the Aventador S a special touch. Mitja Borkert comments: "It was exciting to work with world-famous fashion icon Yohji Yamamoto, who has a natural understanding of Lamborghini's signature design DNA. Our collaboration provided inspiration for this outstanding design creation of the Aventador S, which is presented today, and pays homage to Italian craftsmanship, coupled with Japanese culture."

Yohji Yamamoto says: "With their unmistakable design, Lamborghini's super sports cars are instantly recognizable - one glance is enough. I am very happy about the realization of this collaboration, which expresses the uniqueness, the timelessness and the great passion that characterize our brands.“On the entrance level of THE LOUNGE TOKYO, visitors immerse themselves in the Lamborghini lifestyle for the first time. In addition, customers will receive their new Lamborghini here as part of a personalized event. On the two upper levels, unique event and meeting rooms are available for business and private occasions, which ensure a unique experience for all visitors with their unmistakable style and typical Lamborghini design features. Special activities such as exhibitions or art fairs are also offered to the public here.

The core concept of the lounge is an expression of the worldview

Katia Bassi, Chief Marketing & Communication Officer of Automobili Lamborghini, explains: "We created this lounge because we understand each other as “Designers of Experience“And would like to give our guests the real Italian Lamborghini feeling in these rooms: a piece of soul from Sant'Agata Bolognese in the heart of Tokyo. It reflects our innovative spirit without denying our brand DNA and cultural Italian identity. The core concept of the lounge under the sign of "informal luxury" is an expression of our worldview and welcomes our guests in an intimate, exclusive atmosphere that is completely permeated by the spirit of the Lamborghini brand. Lamborghini is always looking to break new ground, both in the automotive industry and in terms of design, technology and performance, but within the larger spheres around us. We are proud to be able to present two major projects at the same time. Together with the opening of the lounge, it is an honor for us to ring in the birth of a second project today: the collaboration between Lamborghini and Yohji Yamamoto. "

Giovanni Perosino, Chief Commercial Officer of Automobili Lamborghini, adds: "More than half of our vehicles delivered worldwide have one or more details personalized by the Ad Personam program, either as a result of a visit to our studio in Sant'Agata Bolognese or through the personalization options offered in our dealer network. Our Japanese customers appreciate the almost unlimited possibilities of Ad Personam: More than 200 Lamborghinis personalized through the program came to our Lamborghini Day in Osaka last year. We're excited to announce the opening of the Ad Personam Studio right here in the LAMBORGHINI LOUNGE TOKYO. Our Japanese customers will thus save themselves a long journey to personalize their vehicles in the future. We are honored to have so many customers and fans in Japan and to be able to open the gates to our world for them thanks to the Lamborghini Lounge. "
