If you have a very compact Land Rover Defender D90 (that's the short version) cruising with an 6,2 liter LS3 V8 engine from the Chevrolet Corvette can only create something fabulous. That's exactly what the guys from ECD Automotive Design did and that Project Ranger on its feet. In the typical manner of the tuner, you have taken a Defender and fundamentally rebuilt. The complete body has been restored and the interior is new to the smallest detail. For this purpose, the old engine flew out and now works an 430 PS Corvette engine in combination with an 5-gear manual transmission in rustic British. The power for the environment is audible thanks to a Borla performance sport exhaust system that produces goose bumps with typical V8 sound.

And optically, the project is once again an absolute feast for the eyes. In addition to new body parts in the form of a bumper with a cable winch, ram protection bar with additional lights or fender flares all around, it is the details such as the full spare wheel on the rear door, the roll bar under the soft top or the 18-inch Sawtooth wheel set with BF Goodrich All-Terrain tires that make the conversion make it so unique. There was also a paint job in “Terrain” from Ford and of course a completely new cabin. The original seats were installed here (upholstered again) in front and the driver controls the Defender now with a high quality Startech LR leather steering wheel.

Like almost all vehicles from ECD, this specimen also boasts an improved Sony infotainment system, components from JL Audio or nice amenities such as a wireless charging system as well as USB ports and important additional instruments.
