Besides Restomods are current, in particular 6 × 6 conversions heavily on trend. And what could be more obvious than doing both the kombinier? That's exactly what the team from Classic Overland now done with an old defender. Anyone looking for a – in our opinion - is an extremely stunning and primarily eye-catching pickup truck that is guaranteed to make the neighbors gape and make your brother-in-law jealous, then this white behemoth is definitely the right choice. As already mentioned, the vehicle comes from the Classic Overland workshop, who already introduced us to the some years ago Land Rover Perentie 6×6 Widebody convinced. And now there is another example. The basis for the conversion is of course again an original Defender, but not with four wheels, but a factory 6 × 6! If we're not completely wrong, then it's a "Townley Six LR (V8)“ Been a Defender. But there isn't much left of that.

White Rhino 6×6

The vehicle comes from Africa and was in fair condition. It was found at an unknown location in a fire station in the Franschhoek winelands (South Africa) with just 30.000km on the clock. As an emergency vehicle, the six-wheeled Defender was fitted with a specially tuned and powerful 3,5-litre V8, and over the last few decades it has hauled tons of water over rough African terrain. But that's over now. Since the conversion to the "White Rhino", named after Africa's second largest land mammal, the daily work no longer has to be. Although that would of course still be possible without any problems. The Georgia-based tuner installed a supercharged one as the biggest change 6,2 liter LT4 V8 off the GM shelf and hooked up the engine 10-speed automatic transmission. The performance is up to 682 PS more than enough to be able to continue using the unique vehicle as a "special off-roader".

There's no reason to stop at four wheels!

The restored Body painted one in Icy White and set off many components in glossy black (Ligurian). The vehicle was also LED lights all around, a fat one intake snorkel, massive floorrail, a strong one winch, new ones purse and a set of black 20 inch Kahn Mondial retro rims with thick All-terrain tires stocked. Although there are no pictures of the Cabin, as far as we know, but with African Premium Leather reupholstered and with some technical details upgraded. Incidentally, such a conversion should cost a lot 400.000 US Dollars. If we get more information about the changes, there is of course an update for this report.
