Can you give a British off-road workhorse an American V8? Absolutely! ECD Automotive Design proves this to us again and again. The tuning company formerly known as the East Coast Defenders has already converted countless vehicles on a Defender basis (you can find them all here) and equipped, for example, with a V8 engine from the Chevrolet Corvette. And with this, the company also shows that this is a trend to be taken seriously and not just a whim. And with customized vehicles like that ProjectRC you never get tired of showing it again and again. And in our opinion, some Defender "purists" would also be convinced of this dreamlike Restomod conversion, which is particularly impressive with the successful color scheme.

Land Rover Defender 110

The vehicle is a Land Rover Defender 110 which looks much better than on the day of its delivery, as we find and "suspect". In particular, the selected paint in Fuji white gives the muscular Defender in vintage look in combination with the many glossy black accents a dreamlike look. Even the 16-inch steel rims from Wolf with Continental Cross Contact LX20 tires with Eco Plus Technology in the 265/70 / R16 format, the roof rack and the access ladder are painted in a matching color. And as always, there are countless modern details to marvel at, such as the front LED headlights with lens optics, the work lamps at the rear or the modern LED indicators all around. And the interior is also dominated by the color white. However, here with successful accents in blue. The look from the outside comes with a leather interior in white including Spinneybeck VP Navy Blue accents in the interior and reinterprets it completely. In addition to the seats, there is also a white suede roof lining and the type of seats is called “Puma 9”, with the front ones even being heated and ventilated.

Sirus XM and Apple CarPlay connectivity

Other modern comfort features of the custom-made product are a Puma dashboard with Sirus XM and Apple CarPlay connectivity, plus new instruments from the "White Hot Series", there was a 15 inch (approx. 38 cm) Evander wooden steering wheel with white paint and of course an RC - Plaque for the one-of-one indication of uniqueness. A special highlight is of course the engine under the hood. The specialist in Kissimmee (Florida) has built in a healthy dose of American sports car power in the form of a Corvette 6,2-liter V8 LS3 engine with 565 hp. In combination with an EBC performance disc brake system, the in-house ECD Air Ride air suspension and a matching sports exhaust system, the dynamic setup of the classic is impressively rounded off. If we get more information about the changes, there is of course an update for this report. You will be informed of this if you simply do ours Feed subscribe to.
