Land Rover Defender with V8 and Porsche tartan interior!

This 450 hp Land Rover Defender has a powerful V8 under the hood and also an unusual Porsche tartan interior. And of course the vehicle was built again by Team Legacy Overland. The Defender is namely the latest creation from the tuner from Greenwich (Connecticut) and is based on a short Land Rover Defender 90. The old Defenders have been extremely popular in the restomod scene for years and keep spectacular vehicles causing a lot of attention. The current copy was taken over by the tuner in a miserable condition and made by hand what it is now. To a British off-roader with a 6,2-liter V8-LS3 Crate engine which mobilized an output of 450 hp and was coupled to a five-speed manual transmission (NV4500).

hot-dip galvanized chassis on the Defender

The chassis has been elaborately hot-dip galvanized since restoration to ensure further durability. There was also a new transfer case and many new chassis and drive components to make the power of the V8 durable. In combination with the built-in torque-dependent center differential and limited-slip differentials at the front and rear, there should be no stopping, especially off-piste slopes. And so that the components all harmonize well with each other and the performance is implemented effectively, the chassis has of course also been completely revised. And there is also a high-performance brake system from Wilwood with large discs all around and 6-piston calipers at the front and 4-piston calipers at the rear. A specially adapted stainless steel sports exhaust system ensures a species-appropriate soundscape and thus the most important technical changes to the quantum gray (Quantum Gray) painted Defender with the black and gray accents are mentioned.

classic heritage grille

The changes to the body are already known to us from other Legacy Overland vehicles. For example, there was a classic heritage grille, new surrounds for the LED headlights, black running boards and the rear lights are also equipped with modern lighting technology. And a special highlight is the Defender's cabin. That gives a Porsche feeling from the 1980s. Because the cool bucket seats come directly from a 930 Carrera and the upholstery in Pasha Blue and Silver is also from the Porsche shelf. The pillar trim and the roof, on the other hand, are covered with suede and the Defender is controlled with an Indy wooden steering wheel from Momo. If we receive timely information on further changes, there is of course an update for this report. You will be informed if you simply use ours Feed subscribe to.
