Liberty Walk widebody kit on the legendary Ferrari F40!

Ferrari fans and lovers of classic cars better look away now. The Japanese tuner Liberty Walk has his threat made true and equipped an original Ferrari F40 with a widebody kit. And that's a world premiere, which (hopefully) will remain "one". Because we think certain vehicles should stay the way they are. And the F40 is definitely one of them. But, in the end, of course, everyone has to know for themselves. The F40 was an undisputed superstar of the '80s and its limited edition made it a classic. A tuning is actually the last thing you should do and show off to the fans, let alone slash the fenders, slam it on the ground and then paint it white. But that's exactly what the Japanese tuner Liberty Walk did and presented the vehicle at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2023.

Liberty Walk widebody kit

The converted 40 is the result of the aforementioned widebody teaser that the company posted on social media last year. At that time, however, the vehicle was still kept in classic red. But now the Italian is painted white and equipped with stickers. The video further down in the post shows the actual unveiling at the TAS auto show. As you can see, the converted super sports car got a new front fairing, the headlights have been changed, there was a large splitter, different side skirts, an XXL rear wing, a new diffuser and of course typical Liberty fenders all around.

Also, the engine cover has a large opening and a single NACA duct in the center instead of the original two. However, we think the missing foldable headlights are really successful, you just have to say that at this point. Incidentally, Liberty Walk has not yet commented on whether engine tuning was carried out. However, we suspect the company hasn't changed the F2,9's 8-liter bi-turbo V40.

Brembo sports brake system with slotted discs

However, a Brembo sports brake system with slotted discs has been installed, which may be an indication of engine tuning. And in any case, the tailpipes of the exhaust system have been changed. And something has also happened in the cabin. You can see a Sparco sports steering wheel flattened at the bottom, there were ultra-light Sparco carbon sports bucket seats with racing belts, carbon door panels and aluminum pedals. Many other things like the black AME alloy wheels with Toyo tires, the significant lowering and the visible carbon components round off the widebody F40.
