Liberty Walk Widebody Kit & Rotiform's on the McLaren MP4-12C 650S

Take an awesome McLaren MP4-12C 650S with a 3,8 liter twin turbo V8 engine and an output of 447 kW (608 PS) & 572 Nm (later 625PS) and put it in the hall of Diety Motorsport and IDL Design! What do you think what is the first thing these two companies do with the 650s? We can tell you! You take a commercially available flex and cut out the wheel arches over a large area ... This is exactly one of the first work moves that you have to do if you have decided on a Liberty Walk widebody conversion. And that's exactly what the owner of the 650S seems to have made. Incidentally, we already have the vehicle with a single photo of ours Post about Liberty Walk and this year's SEMA Auto Show seen. But now we have found significantly more pictures and would like to show you the extremely widened super sports car again in detail.

The main focus is of course on the extreme widebody kit that brings the unmistakable fender flares all around. On the 650S, too, the fastening of the components has the typical style with open screw connections. This type of attachment is very popular on the one hand and also frowned upon on the other hand, the majority of the fans will probably not be very enthusiastic about the McLaren. Also very noticeable is the carbon front splitter and the revised air inlets of the bumper. The almost subtle-looking side skirts also come from the Japanese company. Even more brutal than the front is clearly the rear of the 12C, because here you not only built a large rear diffuser but an even larger P1 GTR-style rear wing that should deliver a perceived 2.000kg contact pressure.

It is also easy to recognize the deep lowering by means of Fortune Auto's Air Piston Lift System (Airride) and ensures that the new Rotiform QLB aluminum rims in 19 & 20 inch format, with their Toyo Proxes T1R tires, sit so precisely in the wheel arch. As already mentioned, many will certainly find such a conversion unbearable and not befitting for the British super athlete, but we are of the opinion that the subtle and slim silhouette of the 12C with the huge body kit looks much more aggressive and has its justification , would that be something for you or is the car disfigured for life? If we get more information about the modifications to the 12C, there is of course, as always, an update for this post. The best thing is to subscribe to our feed and if there is something new you will be informed immediately. We hope you enjoy looking at the photos.
