While we see various Liberty Walk widebody kits on a wide variety of vehicles almost every day in the USA, Japan, and many other countries, this is still rarely the case in Germany. But wide-body is "IN" and more and more tuning companies are dealing with this topic in this country too. One of them is JM Car Design from Bergheim (Nordrhein-Westfalen) who ordered the eye-catching kit in Japan and screwed it onto a current M4 Coupé. The body kit of course consists of the obligatory fender flares with their exposed screw connections that ensure that the body grows significantly in width, a relatively discreet spoiler sword and matching side sill approaches. From the German tuner Hamann Motorsport The carbon rear wing comes from behind, and the high-quality carbon diffuser is from the house Akrapovic. Both parts are more restrained compared to the Japanese options and are extremely good for the M4, in conjunction with the body kit. An absolute highlight of the vehicle is the specially developed wheelset of the type Competec C01 which with its three-part structure in the dimensions 9,5 & 12,5 x 20 inches lushly fills the clearly grown wheel arches.
Of course, the rims are forged and therefore particularly light! Visually, the ten-spoke design with its rim star painted in the vehicle color and the black rim beds is adapted to the rest of the M4 and the KW Variant 3 coilover kit ensures the necessary sportiness and a perfectly fitting look. And of course a powerful exhaust system should not be missing in such a project and so, as with the diffuser, it was decided to use a system from Akrapovic (type Titan Evolution Line) which can be controlled from the steering wheel with flap technology. By the way, JM is particularly proud that the vehicle as it stands has been completely approved by the German TÜV and can of course be driven legally on our roads. If we get more information about the modifications to the M4, there is of course, as always, an update for this report. - Akrapovic carbon diffuser
- Specially developed wheel set Competec C01 rims (three-part, forged, ten-spoke star, 9,5 & 12,5 x 20 inches, painted in body color with glossy black rim beds)
- Continental Sport Contact 5P tires (255 / 30R20 and 325 / 25R20)
- Lowering (KW variant 3 coilover suspension)
- possibly a performance increase - (chip tuning, tuning box, compressor or turbo conversion, NOS etc. - more information is not available)
- Akrapovic Titan Evolution Line sports exhaust system (controllable from the steering wheel with flap technology)
