At least 204.000 € expensive, equipped with a 670 PS BiTurbo V8 and good 330 km / h fast! The Ferrari 488 GTB launched 2015 and is the successor of the 458 Italia. With a curb weight of 1475 kg in combination with more power, he has managed to outdo the 458er in all disciplines. Can you imagine approaching this super sports car with a power cutter and cut out all four fenders over a large area? That's exactly what you have to do if you have one in front of you Liberty Walk widebody kit to install that ensures that the filigree 488 GTB receives a much more brutal appearance than a Lamborghini Aventador. The team around RDB LA (Los Angeles / United States) did just that and presented the result yesterday.
A completely modified 488 GTB Widebody on Forgiato Wheels alloy wheels. But let's start with the body kit which is partly installed in the chic carbon fiber. It has, of course, the striking open glands as any kit from Liberty Walk. They ensure a firm fit of the fender flares on the body. There are further aerodynamic parts in the form of a spoiler lip front, approaches for the side skirts, a large diffuser with central LED rear fog light and a duck tail spoiler lip. Apart from the widenings, almost all components are made of carbon fiber and therefore very noble. Of course, the result is impressive and especially through the paint in body color quite consistent.
On the other hand, the elegant lines of the 488 are definitely not there anymore and that's what the spirits of the Ferraristis will definitely say. Either you like it or not! Of course, the much widened fenders also require a different set of wheels and so RDB LA built the in-house RDB-ECL forged wheels from Forgiato Wheels is manufactured. A beautiful forged wheel that impresses especially with the filigree look and the highly polished rim beds and the gray rim star. The wheelset comes in extremely fat dimensions (exact specifications unknown) because only then are the much wider wheel arches in combination with a significant lowering so consistently filled.
In all likelihood there was also a sports exhaust system and we can imagine that the V8-Biturbo has also missed a little more power by means of chip tuning. Further details are currently not known. If we receive timely information on other changes not mentioned before, there is of course as always an update for this report. These are the changes to the Ferrari 488 GTB:

- Alloy wheels Forgiato Wheels RDB-ECL in dark gray / chrome (approx. 21 & 20 inches)
- Lowering (possibly by means of air suspension, coilovers, coil springs)
- possibly a performance increase - (chip tuning, tuning box, compressor or turbo conversion, NOS etc. - more information is not available)
- possibly a sports exhaust system (more information is not available)
