Lifting and more accessories for BMW M8, 2, 3, 4 and 7 series!

The launch of the BMW M5 CS is the absolute highlight among the innovations that will enrich the BMW model range in spring 2021. The first special model based on the BMW M5 Competition takes on the top position in the BMW M GmbH range in terms of engine power, performance and exclusivity, thus underlining the brand's close connection to racing. The range of models in the premium segment of the compact and mid-range will be expanded from March 2021 with additional drive variants for the BMW 4 Series Coupé and the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé. In addition, attractive additions to the standard or optionally available equipment in numerous BMW model series ensure an increase in driving pleasure, comfort, individuality and safety.

BMW M8, 2, 3, 4 and 7 series

An equipment feature previously only available for high-performance automobiles from BMW M GmbH will also be available for the most powerful versions of the BMW 2021 Series Sedan and the BMW 3 Series Coupé from March 4. For the first time, an M carbon roof is being offered for the top models of both series. Exclusive lightweight components also optimize the driving experience in the BMW M8. For the three high-performance models in the luxury segment, newly developed M carbon bucket seats will be available as special equipment from March 2021. The luxury sedans of the BMW 7 Series will in future be equipped with integral active steering as standard. In addition, a nanoparticle filter is a new component of the standard or optional 7-zone automatic air conditioning in the BMW 8 and BMW 5 series as well as in the BMW X6, BMW X7 and BMW X4 models. BMW Individual Shadow Line lights complete the equipment range for the BMW X5 and BMW X6. The range of digital services will be expanded to include the BMW News app for selected BMW models from April 2021.

High-performance sedan with exclusive racing characteristics:

The BMW M5 CS.
After the BMW M3 CS, the BMW M4 CS and the BMW M2 CS, a special model of the BMW M2021 will be launched for the first time from March 5. The most powerful and exclusive version of the high-performance sedan bears the name BMW M5 CS.

The special model is powered by the most powerful engine ever used in a production vehicle from BMW M GmbH. The V8 engine with BMW M TwinPower Turbo technology develops a maximum output of 467 kW / 635 hp, which is another 7 kW / 10 hp more than the drive unit of the BMW M5 Competition. In combination with a 70 kilogram lower weight, the BMW M5 CS accelerates from standstill to 100 km / h in 3,0 seconds and outperforms the BMW M5 Competition by 0,3 seconds.

The racetrack potential also goes hand in hand with the BMW M5 CS with unrestricted suitability for everyday use. In addition to design elements for the exterior in gold bronze, the standard equipment also includes M carbon seats for the driver and front passenger. In the rear of the BMW M5 CS, there is space for two passengers in individual seats to enjoy the special performance experience.

New in the BMW 4 Series: in-line six-cylinder diesel engines and exclusive optional equipment.

An additional BMW M automobile and another particularly powerful motorized model variant will underline the sporty character of the new BMW 2021 Series Coupé from March 4. In both cases, an in-line six-cylinder diesel engine and intelligent all-wheel drive ensure efficient driving pleasure. In the new BMW M440d xDrive Coupé, the 250 kW / 340 PS engine with BMW M TwinPower Turbo technology is also combined with an 8-speed Steptronic Sport transmission, an M Sport package and an M Sport differential. Thanks to the outstanding performance of the 3,0 liter engine and its maximum torque of 700 Nm, the new BMW M440d xDrive Coupé accelerates from zero to 4,6 km / h in 100 seconds.

With a maximum output of 210 kW / 286 hp from a displacement of 3,0 liters and a maximum torque of 650 Nm, the drive unit of the new BMW 430d xDrive Coupé also enables spirited acceleration maneuvers. 5,1 seconds are enough for him to sprint from standstill to 100 km / h.

In both in-line six-cylinder diesel models, mild hybrid technology with a 48-volt starter generator provides additional dynamism and efficiency. The system enables a particularly intensive recovery of energy in braking and overrun phases. This is stored in a 48-volt battery and used both for the on-board network and to generate additional drive power. When starting up and accelerating, the additional output of 48 kW / 8 PS provided by the 11-volt starter generator optimizes the spontaneous power delivery. In other load ranges, the electric drive can relieve the internal combustion engine and thus increase its efficiency.

The exterior paint finishes BMW Individual Brilliant White metallic, BMW Individual Frozen Portimao Blue metallic and BMW Individual Frozen Deep Gray metallic will also be available for both the new BMW 4 Series Coupé and the new BMW 4 Series Convertible from March 2021. In future, exclusive flair in the interior can be ensured with the extended BMW Individual Merino leather upholstery or the BMW Individual full Merino leather upholstery, which are available in six or four color variants.

Dynamic charisma increased, vehicle center of gravity lowered:

M carbon roof in the BMW 3 Series and BMW 4 Series.
The new BMW M440d xDrive Coupé, like the future BMW M 440i xDrive Coupé and the two corresponding top models of the BMW 3 Series Sedan, can add further highlights to sportiness with an exclusive lightweight construction measure. The M carbon roof, available from March 2021 for these four models, emphasizes the dynamic charisma and at the same time ensures a further lowering of the vehicle's center of gravity in favor of agility.

To match this, the new interior trims will be offered in the M Carbon Fiber version in future. They are also available for the BMW M440i xDrive Cabrio and for all other model variants of the new BMW 3 Series and BMW 4 Series, each in conjunction with the M Sport equipment.

Additional all-wheel drive model for the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé.

The additional traction, driving stability and sportiness associated with intelligent all-wheel drive can be experienced in another model variant of the BMW 2021 Series Gran Coupé from March 2. In the new BMW 220i xDrive Gran Coupé, the power of a 131 kW / 178 PS four-cylinder gasoline engine is distributed between the front and rear wheels as required. An 8-speed Steptronic transmission is also involved in the power transmission. With this drive technology, the new BMW 220i xDrive Gran Coupé accelerates from zero to 7,1 km / h in 100 seconds.

The range of special equipment for the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé will be expanded to include additional light alloy wheels in spring 2021. New to the range are 18-inch M light-alloy wheels in Y-spoke design and in two-tone versions.

BMW 7 Series now with integral active steering as standard.

The superior ride comfort, cornering dynamics and maneuverability of the luxury sedans of the BMW 7 Series will be increased as standard from March 2021 with the help of integral active steering. With precisely controlled steering of the rear wheels, this chassis system optimizes both agility and sovereignty at higher speeds as well as comfort when maneuvering. The latest version of the Integral Active Steering triggers the counter-rotating steering of the rear wheels at a particularly low speed of less than 3 km / h. This further increases the maneuverability of the luxury sedans when parking and leaving, as well as when slowly passing through narrow spaces.

Nanoparticle filter as a new component of the 4-zone automatic air conditioning.

In many current BMW models, a nanoparticle filter will be part of the functional scope of the 4-zone automatic air conditioning. The system, which is unique among its competitors, is able to remove tiny impurities from the air flowing into the interior. The 4-zone automatic air conditioning including nanoparticle filter is part of the standard equipment in the BMW X7 and is offered as an option for the luxury sedans of the BMW 7 series, the luxury sports cars of the BMW 8 series and for the models BMW X5 and BMW X6.

BMW Individual Shadow Line lights for BMW X5 and BMW X6 .

The range of special equipment for the BMW X5 and BMW X6 models will be supplemented by the BMW Individual Shadow Line lights from April 2021. They are available in conjunction with the optional BMW laser light and, with black inserts on the upper edge of the headlights, ensure a particularly expressive front view.

For that pure racing feeling: M carbon bucket seats in the BMW M8.

A particularly attractive addition to the range of special equipment for the BMW M8 models enables the fascinating performance characteristics of the high-performance sports cars to be experienced even more intensely. M carbon bucket seats will be available for the BMW M8 Competition Coupé, the BMW M8 Competition Cabriolet and the BMW M8 Competition Gran Coupé from March 2021. With their innovative, structure-based design, visible surfaces made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP), integrated headrests, openings in the backrests and the side bolsters and guides for multi-point seat belts, they combine racing functionality with long-distance comfort and luxurious workmanship.

The M carbon bucket seats for driver and front passenger are electrically adjustable in height, inclination and lengthways direction. In addition, the incline and width of your backrests can be adjusted at the push of a button. They have seat surfaces made of leather and Alcantara and can be heated. Illuminated "M8" lettering on the headrests and a memory function on the driver's side are also part of the M carbon bucket seats. Their lightweight construction concept leads to a significant weight reduction compared to the standard M sport seats.

Exclusive special equipment for other BMW M automobiles.

The scope of optional equipment available for numerous other BMW M automobiles will also be expanded in spring 2021. For the BMW M3 Sedan and the BMW M4 Coupé, the new exterior paintwork Skyscraper Gray metallic and the extended BMW Merino leather upholstery are available in five other color variants.

The models BMW X5 M Competition and BMW X6 M Competition can also be equipped with BMW Individual Shadow Line lights from April 2021 in conjunction with the optional BMW laser light. In addition, the optional 4-zone automatic air conditioning will in future also include a nanoparticle filter in the BMW M8 models.

New in the range of digital services: BMW News App.

The BMW Operating System 7, which is available in connection with the BMW Live Cockpit, the BMW Live Cockpit Plus and the BMW Live Cockpit Professional in numerous current BMW models, enables the use of a growing number of digital services. One of the latest innovations in this area is the BMW News app, which can be used as part of BMW Connected from April 2021, and which provides the driver with selected audio content. They are tailored precisely to the wishes and needs of the driver. Based on individual interests, the latest news transmitted online is selected from the offerings of publishers and broadcast via the vehicle's audio system in the form of naturally spoken reports using the BMW News service.
