Strictly limited: lightweight Bugatti Divo for 5 million euros

Just in case that there are actually people who 1.500 PS of the Bugatti Chiron in combination with the 1.995 kg empty weight somehow not enough, the French car manufacturer plans now a limited lightweight variant. As Bugatti Divo is soon to come a much lighter version of the super sports car for about 5 million € on the market. Already it is clear that the Divo will be limited to 40 pieces. It goes without saying that these 40 copies are already completely sold out. Bugatti ... The chassis and the engine will probably not get any changes, but thanks to a strong diet, the Divo should accelerate even faster than the "normal" Chiron. Although the current Bugatti press release does not mention the Chiron with a single syllable, we cannot imagine that a completely new vehicle will be developed for this small, limited edition.

The presentation is already on the exclusive event "The Quail" in the context of Monterey Car Week in Peeble Beach, California on 24 August. The one after the French racer Albert Divo The named super sports car should first and foremost be light and agile and bring along "excellent" handling characteristics. Visually, this will probably be shown by a design trimmed for aerodynamics that should lead to an independent look. Only in terms of top speed is the Divo "inferior" to the Chiron because it is said to be able to go from 420 to "only" 385 km / h thanks to the sequential racing gearbox. Awful…

Now he is finally revealed. This is the brand new one Bugatti Divo, The key data were largely known but in terms of optics, you really shrouded in silence until the last day. On the Monterey Car Week the Divo has now been officially presented and of course we don't want to withhold the limited bullet from you. Incidentally, the name comes from the French racing driver Albert Divo (* January 24, 1895 - † September 19, 1966) and he already had a connection to Bugatti with his partner and Bugatti racing driver Janine Jennky.

The Divo is now something like the extreme version of the Chiron and it should be 100% suitable for the race track. The engineers have managed to increase the downforce by a good 90 kg compared to the Chiron, which at the same time means that the top speed of the Divo, driven by an 8,0-liter 16-cylinder engine, is "only" 380 km / h sinks.

Maybe there will soon be an update with information and pictures. If this is the case we will of course also put it online and inform you about it.
