One of the most beautiful classics undoubtedly comes from the 60s. The decade was particularly formative for the American automobile industry, because there were vehicles like the Mustang of the time, the C2 Corvette, the Pontiac GTO and the list could go on and on. And among these legends we also find the Lincoln Continental. The Continental was revolutionary because it brought a new elegance to the world of what was then huge Tail fins-Vehicles. Although it had a lot of chrome from the factory, even for an American car, it was still discreet at the same time. The main focus of the Continental back then was comfort and being as “quiet as possible”.
1964 Lincoln Continental
The suspension was plush and the smooth V8 paired with a relaxed automatic transmission made you feel like you were floating. And such a vehicle will soon be up for auction at Barrett-Jackson. However, in the form of a heavily modified Lincoln Continental from 1964. The vehicle is a so-called Restomod, as many modern components were installed in the course of the complete restoration.
