Lorinser Classic engine tuning on the old Mercedes / Puch G!

Is it possible using classic Naturally aspirated engine tuning from a 26 year old four-cylinder one More power of 54 hp pick up? Definitely! And the Mercedes tuner Lorinser shows us how to do it. Namely on an old Puch G (Mercedes W 461) from 1995. It has 170 PS (125 kW) under the hood. And all of that without built-in six-cylinder. Lorinser Classic bought a large batch of Puch G from the Swiss Army a long time ago and has since been busy trying to close some of them restore and new to build up. Some were also sold directly in their original condition. But especially the different ones Restomods von Lorinser inspire again and again. So far there has been (see gallery at the end of the post) already vehicles with a new look, with special superstructures up to and including mobile homes.

And now comes one performance increase for use. But not by means of electronic engine tuning. This is the case with the old in-line engine with four cylinders (M 102) not possible, but using classic methods. And since Lorinser is one of only 46 Mercedes-Classic partners in Germany, you know what you're doing. The displacement is from 2.297 to 2.900 ccm drilled outwhich is pretty powerful for a four-cylinder. So the original 116 HP (85 kW) become more 54 PS and there are stately ones 280 Nm torque. It is still switched using 4-speed automatic and of course there was also the typical one Lorsiner revision from the rest. The Puch G got newly upholstered and covered seats and a beautiful one Wood Steering Wheels. And Lorinser Classic has also made changes on the outside and given the classic one immaculate body.

Including the headlight surrounds, the cover is in Arab gray matt painted and there was a complete new hood made of black fabric. The subfloor is next for many more years permanently preserved. And the mechanics from Lorinser also installed small details and an important safety aspect LED main headlights with protective grilles and a practical one Trailer hitchto pull up to 3,5 tons.
