Project Family Vacation - Defender with LS3-V8 from ECD

Here comes that Project Family Vacation from the tuner ECD Automotive Design based on a Land Rover Defender 90. And this copy fits seamlessly into a whole range of tailor-made Land Rover Defenders from the tuner from England. Based on the three-door model 90, this vehicle was built as a “Project Family Vacation” and therefore does not offer space for up to 9 people. Including the driver, only 90 people can sit in the 4s. Two in the front and two on the individual rear seats that can be folded down to significantly increase the loading area. And as always, the seats are completely wrapped in leather with light-colored seams and diamond patterns, and the center armrest is also leather-covered, and the dashboard has wooden inserts and an analog clock between the two central air vents.

NRG ST-065 steering wheel

The NRG ST-065 steering wheel with Land Rover emblem and the Nostalgia VT Series displays have the typical ECD look of previous vehicles and, as always, there was also a new sound system with touchscreen infotainment system and full smartphone integration. And optically, the Defender has been completely modified in the style of previous vehicles. The British SUV is painted in Coniston Green and has chic 8-spoke steel rims painted in satin black. The wheelset is equipped with BFGoodrich all-terrain tires and the accessories also included steel bumpers, new rear lights, a roof rack with additional lights and two additional headlights and a cable winch with 12.000 lbs of traction were installed in front of the grille.

"Tubular Beach" door at the stern

The most striking feature, however, should be the fully-fledged spare wheel on the bonnet and the "Tubular Beach" door at the rear for quick entry and, of course, exit. And so that the 6,2-liter LS3 V8 from the Corvette with the five-speed manual transmission also transfers its power to the road in a species-appropriate manner, a state-of-the-art FOX chassis and a performance brake system adapted to the performance are of course installed. As always an impressive vehicle from ECD! If we receive information on further changes in a timely manner, there will of course be an update for this report.
