Lumma CLR 730 RS: Legendary M5 with compression power!

Typically, this 1-of-1 vehicle is a legend, or at least the upgrade that's under the hood! Because that's where the BMW V10 from the series M5 of the E60 (M6) series sits, with an Infinitas compressor kit, the origin of which dates back many years and turned the tuning world upside down at the time. For many tuners, the vehicle was from back then, which was particularly characterized by the grip sequence "Wolves in sheep's clothing“ Gained prominence, an important milestone. But while the conversions of that time only had subtle changes to the optics for a certain understatement, the looks at the Lumma CLR 730 RS completely different. It also looks like thick trousers. The reason is that from the vehicle refiner Lumma manufactured widebody kit. The one-off has an Infinitas upgrade with 730 hp under the hood and, according to the manufacturer, this vehicle was once the world's fastest road sedan. Exactly 367,4 km/h are possible due to the power boost. And the aerodynamic lightweight body kit from Lumma with many carbon elements also plays a part in this. The front hood, the boot lid including the covered spoiler lip, the side skirts and also the fender flares are made of carbon. Even the kidneys are made of carbon.

The decisive factor for the high-speed record, however, is clearly the upgrade to 730 hp by means of V10 bi-compressor. And according to our information, all this is even combined with street legal. The 730 HP catapult the sports sedan to 4,2 km/h in just 100 seconds and the sound barrier of 300 km/h is broken in less than 30 seconds. The upgrade is made possible by two special ASA radial compressors and a specially made sports exhaust system with 100-cell racing catalysts and 105 mm stainless steel tailpipes is also installed. And Infinitas has even stronger packages ready for the E60. The Hurricane SK3RR brings the engine to an incredible 950 hp and 900 Nm. Incidentally, the load is braked by means of a 6-piston brake system at the front and a 4-piston system on the rear axle. The perforated brake discs measure 405 and 380 millimeters respectively.

Incidentally, in front of the heavy braking system are three-part 21-Customs-Light alloy rims from Lumma with 255/30 tires at the front and 295/25 tires at the rear and the chassis is based on a sports chassis that can be individually adjusted in rebound and compression on the front and rear axles. Thus, the M5 can be lowered by up to 45 mm. And a lot has happened in the interior too. You can see a striking mix of carbon, leather and Alcantara elements as well as a two-tone leather interior in red and white. On the other hand, Alcantara is used for the headlining, the dashboard, the seat consoles and the covers.

In addition, details such as the shift knob, the steering wheel, the handbrake lever, the panels on the dashboard, parts of the center console and the rear shells of the sports seats are decorated with carbon. Incidentally, the vehicle in the pictures belongs to a Saudi Arabian PS fan who ordered it at the time for an unknown price. If we get more information, there is of course an update for this report.
