McLaren Automotive celebrates 100th dealer opening

Ten years after opening its first worldwide dealership in London, British luxury supercar maker McLaren Automotive has announced that its 100th dealership will open in China later this year. McLaren Automotive's first dealer opened in the summer of 2011, allowing customers and fans to discover the company's first supercar, the 12C. Over the past decade, McLaren has expanded its retail presence to over 40 regions around the world and the decade with much-admired supercars like the benchmark 720S and the groundbreaking 675LT - the first of the modern McLaren longtails - the McLaren P1TM, the world's first hybrid hypercar, as well as the GT and ultra-exclusive Ultimate models, the McLaren Senna, Speedtail and, more recently, the Elva Roadster.

Given the brand's global reach and in line with the ambitious Horizon2030 business plan, McLaren will inaugurate its XNUMXth authorized dealer in China later this year. McLaren offers a growing number of customers the opportunity to personalize their supercars through the in-house specialist McLaren Special Operations (MSO) department, bringing their unique visions and creations to life in collaboration with a dedicated team of designers, engineers and artisans.

Also in the first decade, McLaren opened its second facility - the McLaren Composites Technology Center (MCTC) - in Yorkshire in 2018. The MCTC develops and produces innovative, lightweight and well-designed carbon fiber architectures. This architecture was first used in the new Artura series hybrid supercar, and it helps realize the company's electrification ambitions for the next decade as it seeks to reduce weight to get the agility and characteristics customers have come to expect from a McLaren maintain and improve.
