According to Mercedes magazine mbpassion.de intended as "Edition 55" vehicles (A35/CLA35 & G-Class/G63) will soon also start ordering the 45 and 45 S variants. In other words, the EDITION 55 special models are also available for the 45/45S compact vehicles. While the A 35 4MATIC and the CLA 45 4MATIC were already presented as the "Edition 55" special model and received their sales approval on April 20, 2022, the A 45 4MATIC+ and A 45 S 4MATIC models of the A-Class compact sedan and follow the CLA 45 S 4MATIC+. It goes without saying that these are of course significantly more expensive than the 35 models.

However, it is not yet known to what extent the equipment of the two engines differs. mbpassion suspects a surcharge for the "Edition 55" for the A 45 4MATIC+ or A 45 S 4MATIC and CLA 45 S 4MATIC+ of almost 15.000 euros and also a sales release for May 12, 2022.
