Mercedes has offered countless AMG models for decades. But what Mercedes not on offer, that's an AMG with manual gearshift! It didn't exist, it doesn't exist, and it probably won't exist any more. But what if it is absolutely necessary hand-stirred AMG should be? Then you can only watch it even assemble. Alex Bridges (Owner of this vehicle) therefore decided to have the large, powerful V8 in his W210 E55 AMG much better with one Manual transmission would work. And so he just built one! The entire process, from idea to implementation, was done by the European auto parts manufacturer FCP euros, Nathan Brown, documented and produced a nearly 9-minute video.

After a few hours of reading in various forums, Bridges found that a DIY conversion to manual transmission not only possible, but also absolutely for a technically not completely inexperienced layperson makeable is. But what do you have to do to make the E55 work with the M112 / M113 engine get a manual shift? Just pull the manual gear out of the Chrysler Crossfire obstruct! The Daimler-Chrysler merger in the early 2000s resulted in the Crossfire essentially being based on a Mercedes SLK. And they also shared the transmission. And in the W210, manual replacement apparently still requires not once a complex reprogramming. And later models with updated control units even recognize this automatically if it is a manual switch. This means that no errors will be displayed.

The 5,4-liter V8 is with the automatic transmission 354 PS and 530 NM Torque less powerful than it really is. When Manual Gearbox and in combination with a distant rear silencer and Catalyst this E55 is finally as brutal as that E39 BMW M5. The vehicle also has OZ Racing Opera Alus with Kenda KR20A tires, a subtle one Lowering and modern DEPO LED taillights installed. The new tailpipes are against it from W211 AMG and that is also slightly adapted front bumper. The interior, on the other hand, is fairly standard. The original wood and leather interior is still installed and only that Manual transmission is of course different. A Mercedes gear knob from one is installed C-Class. The entire process can be seen on Bridges' YouTube channel.
