The range of BMW M Performance Parts in the areas of aerodynamics, drive, chassis and cockpit offers a wide range of options for individualizing the new BMW M2 with a focus on maximum performance. All of the components were developed using the motorsport know-how and five decades of experience gathered by BMW M GmbH and precisely matched to the specific properties of the two-door model. In doing so, they strengthen the puristic performance character of the new BMW M2, which with its compact dimensions, a 338 kW/460 hp straight six-cylinder engine, an optionally available 6-speed manual transmission, high-quality chassis technology and rear-wheel drive is a particularly attractive entry into the world of High-performance automobiles from BMW M GmbH made possible.
Exclusive materials, optimized aerodynamic properties: The BMW M Performance exterior components.
All retrofit products in the BMW M Performance Parts range are characterized by expressive design, exclusive materials and first-class quality. The BMW M Performance exterior components for the new BMW M2 are precisely tailored to the design and geometry of the two-door model. In addition, they have already been homologated with the entire vehicle and, in addition to the strict standards of the BMW Group, also meet the statutory safety regulations.
The carbon add-on parts for the front, side and rear are made of carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic. They optimize the vehicle's aerodynamic properties and, with their visible fiber structure under the clear coat, emphasize its racing-oriented aura. The M Performance carbon front attachment and the M Performance carbon air inlet cover guarantee a particularly striking appearance.
For a sharper profile when viewed from the side, you can choose from the M Performance carbon side skirt attachments, the M Performance carbon side spats at the front and rear, and the M carbon exterior mirror caps. In addition, the air flow can be optimized with the M Performance carbon rear attachment and the M Performance carbon rear diffuser. The M Performance carbon rear spoiler and the M Performance roof edge spoiler in high-gloss black convey maximum racing flair. An M Performance tow strap and the M Performance Aramid antenna cover, also made of an exclusive fiber composite, are also available to customize the exterior.
Less weight, more sound: M Performance titanium silencer system.
Reduced weight, an unmistakable appearance and distinctive racing acoustics characterize the M Performance titanium silencer system available for the new BMW M2. Its front pipes are made of lightweight stainless steel, the rear silencer is made entirely of titanium. As a result, the M Performance titanium silencer system is around 8 kilograms lighter than the standard component. The exhaust system with electrically controlled flaps and four centrally arranged tailpipes is offered in conjunction with a specially adapted M Performance carbon rear diffuser.
The tailpipe trim module is also made of titanium and has a ceramic coating. Optimized exhaust routing results in an even sportier driving experience. The sound quality is influenced by the settings for the drive characteristics in the M Setup menu and achieves an extremely emotional sound development in the style of a racing car, especially in the Sport and Sport+ modes. The M Performance tailpipe trims in titanium/carbon are offered as a striking addition to the standard exhaust system of the new BMW M2. With their high-quality mix of materials and their perforated inner tubes, they give the rear view a particularly exclusive touch.
M Performance suspension with height-adjustable spring plates.
The agility and cornering dynamics of the new BMW M2 can be further increased with the M Performance suspension, which is available as a retrofit. It enables individual vehicle lowering by up to 10 millimeters thanks to its design as a coilover kit with height-adjustable spring plates on the front and rear axles. The M Performance suspension has been tuned to the new BMW M2 both on the racetrack and on the road and results in a noticeably more direct connection between the vehicle body and the road. This makes it possible to transfer driving dynamics inspired by racing to everyday life.
The M Performance forged wheels available for the new BMW M2 also offer ideal conditions for an extremely sporty driving style. They are each made from a single piece of aluminum and impress with their extreme stability, absolute concentricity and striking appearance. The selection for the new BMW M2 includes M Performance forged wheels measuring 20 inches on the front axle and 21 inches on the rear axle in a cross-spoke design, which are available in either M Frozen Gold Bronze or M Jet Black matt. The M Performance tire bags ensure that racing feeling in the garage. They have an imprint in the colors of BMW M GmbH, a marking for the respective wheel position and a reinforced handle for comfortable transport.
Precisely sharpened racing flair in the interior.
The sports car cockpit of the BMW M2 can be specifically optimized with high-quality interior components from the BMW M Performance Parts range. The M Performance carbon/Alcantara interior trim panels, which are offered in combination with Alcantara knee pads, ensure an intensified racing flair. The elaborately handcrafted interior panels are made of open-pored, matt-sealed carbon and bear M Performance lettering made of brushed aluminum. The M Performance Alcantara knee pads, which are also available as an individual option, offer additional support for particularly dynamic cornering and complete the sporty ambience. A matching M Performance M Performance Alcantara armrest is also available for the center console of the new BMW M2.
In vehicles equipped with M sports seats, the sporty, exclusive ambience can be further refined with the M Performance Alcantara/Carbon seat back shells. The handcrafted headrest covers are available in either open-pored or high-gloss carbon and bear M Performance lettering. The other surfaces of the driver's and front passenger's seat backs are made of Alcantara.
The M Performance Steering Wheel Pro is ideal for precise course determination. It offers a pronounced Alcantara grip area with large thumb rests and a special padding. The upper and the slightly flattened lower area of the steering wheel rim are covered with high-quality Walknappa leather. A center marking at 12 o'clock and decorative stitching in the colors of BMW M GmbH round off the striking appearance of the steering wheel. With high-quality materials and a racing-oriented look, the M Performance steering wheel covers also contribute to increased driving pleasure.
They are available for the new BMW M2 in the variants carbon/Alcantara and carbon/leather. They can also be combined with the M Performance carbon shift paddles. The M Performance carbon door sill panels create the ideal connection between the dynamic exterior and the sports car flair in the interior of the new BMW M2. Their carbon inserts have a colored M Performance imprint. The product range for the individual optimization of the racing characteristics for the new BMW M2 is rounded off by M Performance floor mats in a velor design, which, in addition to decorative stitching in contrasting colours, also have M Performance lettering, as well as M Performance door pins with a colored M logo and the M Performance Tank cap carbon.
