YES, we still find one Disasterthat BMW with the new model generation of the 1er (F40) has thrown out the six-cylinder and also switched the bucket to front-wheel drive. This makes it just one of many compact vehicles on the market, because its popular unique selling points in this class have completely disappeared. But as it is in life, you come to terms with it and in a few years nobody will be talking about it anymore. So let's take a look at what the new 1 Series has to offer. And there would be about the top model M135i xDrive, which, as the addition already suggests, is of course not a front scratch, but over all wheel drive has. In addition, there are quite respectable performance ex works. After all, a sprint to country road speed in just 4,7 seconds is an announcement, as is the top speed of 250 km/h. On the other hand, the M140i (F20 with B58B30) was able to do that a bit faster 6 years ago. So more power is needed!
Manhart BMW M135i
And for more performance is the team from Manhart Performance exactly the right address. They have now namely pre-buttoned the 135er without rear-wheel drive and six-cylinder. And after the transformation, you can even talk about a certain unique selling point again. Because a lot is happening, especially with regard to torque. Yes, one after the other. The BMW veteran Manhart from Wuppertal names his creation MH1 350 and increases the performance of the 2,0-liter turbo four-cylinder (B48A20T1) from 306 PS & 450 Nm to stately 350 PS and powerful 524 Nm of torque. This is an extra of 44 PS & 74 Nm. This is made possible by a high quality Armaspeed carbon intake and an in-house MHtronik additional control unit for the engine. Although the tuner says nothing about the performance so far, the standard 4,7 seconds from 0 to 100 km / h should MH1 350 but easily undercut. And it can "outperform" the series in terms of acoustics.
Sport downpipe with 300-cell HJS catalytic converter
Manhart is installing one Sports exhaust system with four matt black 90 millimeter tailpipes, to which also Sport downpipes with 300-cell HJS catalytic converters belong. However, the latter, like the optionally available OPF deleter with link pipe, are not permitted on German roads because without TÜV approval. So only for vehicle for export. The new look, on the other hand, is also suitable for our streets. The black photo vehicle is equipped with some OEM aftermarket parts from M Performance and an extensive Maxton Design Bodykit is included front spoiler, rear diffuser, roof spoiler and side skirts installed. In the wheelhouses also turn Manhart's GTS style rims in the cross-spoke design in the format 8,5 × 20 inches with tires in the dimensions 235/30ZR20 all around. The wheel set is available in different surface variants and is installed on the vehicle from the pictures in the "polished diamond" finish. In addition, one Lowering installed using sport springs from H&R (-30 millimeters).
Braking system can also be changed
And if you want, you can get those too Bremsanlage upgraded and for the cabin you have in-house Deep pile overmats ready. With the typical Manhart decals (silver and red) and Manhart emblems front and rear (also on the steering wheel) and one MH1 350 lettering on the tailgate, the changes are essentially rounded off.
