Manhart MH5 GTR: One-Off-One based on BMW M5 CS

You did it! Manhart Performance was the first tuner we know to have the - in our opinion - best BMW tuned since the E46 M3 CSL. You actually have that M5 CS pimped up even further. And the vehicle, which has no opponents even in series production, mutates into the most brutal sports car based on a family limousine. We are of the opinion that this CS positions itself above one Brabus Rocket AMG GT or a ABT RS7-R. Not because he's incredible 788 PS & 935 NM torque is stronger, but because the CS is absolutely trimmed for lightweight construction by BMW and not only got more and more performance. The agility and light-footedness already provided by the factory cannot be matched by a standard competing vehicle in this segment and even the tuners have to admit that it is hardly possible to crack the M5 CS. The best example is this video by Daniel ABTwho the mighty ABT RS6-R against the standard M5 CS competed. The result - 740 hp is enough not the end! You don't even have to make a comparison with this one-off piece from Manhart Performance. Sorry ABT fans, but we have to be realistic here.

One off one BMW M5 CS

But what actually distinguishes the M5 CS in series production. With the M5 CS (Competition Sport), BMW M GmbH has put an extreme spearhead on the current 5 series. The man from Munich makes 635 hp on paper (however, as is typical for BMW, the spread ex works tends to be upwards) from the known 4,4-liter twin-turbo V8 and is at the same time 70 kilograms lighter compared to the M5 due to a lot of carbon fiber reinforced plastic.

In addition, there is a newly tuned competition sports suspension and four (!) Bucket seats were installed in the cabin. In the field of high-performance sedans, we were familiar with this ex-works not. And yet MANHART Performance from Wuppertal has gone one better! The tuner used the limited M5 CS as a "basis" for a one-off-one project.

BMW MH5 GTR limited 01/01

That is to say, more than this copy than the so-called MH5 GTR limited 01/01 is it not give. The brutal 5 Series shows itself in the MANHART-typical dark style due to a foiling in "Moonlight". This is a semi-gloss dark blue, to which the gray elements of the MANHART decor set fit well. In other words, the distinctive factory-made golden accents of the M5 CS are history. And the wheelset ex works is also gone. Forged ones are now installed on the unique MANHART Classic Line Y-spoke alloy wheels in the format 9 × 21 inches at the front and 10,5 × 21 inches at the back. The wheel set is equipped with slippers in the format 275/30ZR21 und 295/30ZR21. And there was even a sentence at the front for perfect alignment spacers Installed.

Thread springs from KW suspensions

A few millimeters closer to the asphalt, by the way, is still possible by means of MANHART suspension upgradethat consists of coil springs from KW suspensions. The new springs allow an adjustable lowering and provide even more cornering dynamics. And as already mentioned, the Power and torque of the one-off-one increased again. The factory-installed 635 HP and 750 Nm are converted into the in-house Manhart MHtronik additional control unit as well as a MANHART carbon air intake insane 788 PS and 935 Nm Torque. And you can hear it with the powerful sound made of four ceramic-coated or optionally carbon-coated 102 millimeter tailpipes - a very special one Cat-back exhaust system escapes with flap control.

The sports exhaust system even comes with one in this case OPF-Delete replacement pipe with a 200-cell HJS catalysts as well as a OPF / GPF deleter. However, the system is in Germany not eligible and only available for export. Alternatively, you can also MANHART flap rear silencer order with EC approval. Incidentally, the TÜV approval for the increase in performance is currently in preparation and should probably also be suitable for the "normal" M5 F90 and the competition model. At the upcoming IAA Mobility 2021 in Munich there will be the MH5 GTR and the limited MH4 GTR as well as one surprise. to be seen between September 7th and 12th in hall B4 at booth A60.
