A 7 Series as a diesel bomber: the Manhart MH7 400d!

Tuning concerns EVERYONE! And the upper class is no exception. The brand new one already has that Mercedes S-Class get to feel and also the Audi A8 will not be spared. And of course the current 7 Series should not be missing. And that's exactly what the tuning specialists from Manhart Performance pre-buttoned. We know the tuner first and foremost with its very own interpretations of the top models from BMW M GmbH, which are already very powerful ex works, in the form of X6 M, M5 CS or even that M3. The list could be continued forever and also to other premium manufacturers such as Mercedes, Audi, Land Rover and even Tesla expand. But let's stay with BMW! Especially with the aforementioned seven. Because the G11 series, i.e. a pre-facelift, is the basis for the company's latest creation. He answers the name Manhart MH7 400d, was announced in a similar way back in 2015, and as the name suggests, there is a diesel engine under the hood in this case. Namely the B57D30 six-cylinder with two VTG turbochargers and standard 320 hp and 680 NM.

And Manhart demonstrates impressively with the vehicle that the engine with a displacement of three liters (2993 cm³) as well as the powerful petrol top versions à la 750 or even M760Li can still be significantly modified. The base vehicle as 740d xDrive has been enjoying an upgrade in performance and torque since the tuning cure 405 PS and 790 Nm.

This was achieved by using an in-house ECU remapping (Chiptuning) in combination with the also in-house Manhart Turbo Performance Kit including turbocharger upgrade. For this one donated the Eight-speed automatic also one Software Upgrade. In contrast to the typical Manhart conversions on various petrol engines, the exhaust system remained in the standard condition this time. But if you want, you can also get individual tuning configurations in this regard. And also the Bremsanlage and Interior can be upgraded by Manhart on request. And at least there was one Manhart logo on the steering wheel as well as switching to that Alpina speedometer design. On the other hand, much more has been done to the external appearance of the large BMW sedan.

visual changes to the BMW flagship

There was one for more sportiness on the road and a visually more dynamic appearance Lowering for the factory air suspension by about 20 to 30 millimeters, the Manhart by means of adjustable Coupling Rods achieved. Furthermore, the highlight in the wheel arch is of course the black one Venturi alloy wheel in king-size format 10×22 and 11×22 inches, with tires in the format 265/30 R22 or 295/25 R22. And so that the new wheel set is flush with the wheel arch edges, are also 15 mmMR-track plates installed. And as is often the case with a Manhart conversion, there was the golden one again this time Manhart decal set with the characteristic decorative stripes and lettering that run across the entire body and can also be seen on the rim flange of the aluminum. Last but not least, there were other sporty accents by means of spoiler on the front apron and on the Trunk lid made of carbon, newly painted calipers with lettering and Manhart emblems front and back.
