Complete conversions based on the Mercedes G-Class have been an integral part of the automotive refiner Kourosh Mansory's product portfolio for many years and, with numerous conversions, also one of the most successful ones. In order to meet the high demands and the many individual wishes of its customers, MANSORY launched two new products based on the Mercedes G-Class last year alone. Since the beginning of last year, on the one hand, the "Star Trooper Pickup" has been offered in cooperation with the designer and couturier PHILIPP PLEIN and, on the other hand, a completely independent range of special protection vehicles has been created (in addition to all conversions of the G-Class) follows the philosophy of "invisible armor".
850 PS MANSORY "GRONOS 2021"!
And after MANSORY presented a complete renovation called "GRONOS" for the first time in 2013, a new edition of this bestseller called "GRONOS 2021" will follow at the beginning of 2021, which follows its ancestor in the original design philosophy, but with numerous details Modifications inside and outside have been adapted to the current zeitgeist and customer requirements, thereby keeping the G-Class still attractive and desirable.
The "GRONOS 2021" in detail:
The body styling of the G-Class, which is completely painted in "British Racing Green", is both visually and technically impressive. All aerodynamic add-on parts were redrawn starting with the front apron, the elegantly widened front fenders, through the widening of the undersides of the doors to the rear apron. All these components are of course made of full carbon and finished with dark gray applications in the "Forged Carbon" design.
The ultra-light full-carbon bonnet in unpainted and therefore visible "Forged Carbon" with additional cooling air outlets at the front and sides completes the redesign of the front section. The daytime running lights in the front apron and two light-intensive additional lights on the roof edge are also edged in carbon and complete the overall impression of the "GRONOS 2021" from the front in an elegant and harmonious way. At the rear, the spare wheel, completely clad in “Forged Carbon”, together with the redesigned rear apron ensure a harmonious finish. Numerous other components made of “Forged Carbon” such as indicator base, door handle inserts, mirror housings, air inlets and outlets add further distinctive highlights and, together with the special paint in “British Racing Green”, form an extremely stylish combination.
from 850 to 1.000 Nm of torque
The noble tuner designed the revision of the engine no less complex. Larger turbochargers, new downpipes on the left and right, a high-performance exhaust system and newly programmed electronics are used in the 4,0 liter V8 unit. Instead of the 585 hp of the standard G63 AMG, this now results in an impressive 850 hp. The maximum torque increases from 850 to 1.000 Newton meters. This improves the sprint from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour to just 3,5 seconds, and the top speed increases to a (regulated) 250 km / h.
High-performance tires of size 295 / 30R24
In order to bring this enormous power to the asphalt, the luxury refiner from Brand equips the “GRONOS 2021” with high-performance tires of size 295 / 30R24. They are carried by one-piece "YN.5" forged wheels in the corresponding dimension 10 × 24, which are completely painted in black.
Of course, the interior design is in no way inferior to the exclusive exterior. Here, too, only the finest materials are used in the interior, which has been completely re-covered with leather in the color “Fawn Brown”. A new leather-carbon sports steering wheel, sports pedals in aluminum, dark carbon inlays and new types of leather inserts with 3D embossing for the seats, in the door inserts and the center armrest spoil the eye of the beholder, as does the precisely crafted embroidery of the MANSORY Lettering in the seats and the floor mats. In contrast, the carpets in the interior are all black. Very few people will be able to enjoy this unique vehicle called “GRONOS 2021”. The noble off-road vehicle is limited to just 10 copies worldwide and can be ordered immediately.
