For the boardroom - Mansory-Mercedes-Benz V-Class (W447)

The company Mansory, which is based in the Bavarian municipality of Brand, has been transforming more expensive sports and luxury sedans into exclusive unique items since 1989. The financially strong customers of the 200 man strong company meanwhile come from all over the world. On the occasion of the Geneva Motor Show 2017 the Bavarian refiner also shows a solution of a style-conscious working ambience for the executive floor. Next to the Mercedes G500 4 × 4² Gronos, the  Bentley Bentayga "Black Edition", a S63 AMG Convertible, them Siracusa Spider, the new one Panamera or even the noble one Rolls Royce Dawn So now another project of the tuner. The basis for this is provided by the third generation of the Mercedes-Benz minibus vehicle series. Like its two predecessors, this model is marketed as the V-Class. In order to make this vehicle class attractive to private individuals, the Mercedes-Benz V-Class is also being advertised as a “MPV”. The vehicles are offered as standard in three different lengths and with two different wheelbases. The third generation (series 447) was launched in 2014.

In contrast to the two previous models, the current models are only offered with four-cylinder diesel-based engines. From this, at first glance somewhat unusual vehicle, the Mansory engineers and designers have now created a mobile first-class compartment for the road that is similar to that Brabus Business Lounge Mercedes V-Class is mega noble. It already begins with the external appearance of the “minibus”. The air inlets on the front apron were combined with LED daytime running lights to form a single unit. In this way, aesthetics and functionality are combined with one another, and that on a "bus". The front lip and mirror housings provide a further special accent. The rear apron received a new, revised diffuser, while the rear got a corresponding redesigned tailgate with spoiler. The whole thing was rounded off by an elegant two-tone paintwork and 19-inch light alloy wheels. But the standard diesel unit also received a befitting upgrade. By optimizing the series control unit, the engineers at Mansory succeeded in getting a performance plus of 39 kW and increasing the torque to 500 Nm (standard: 140 kW at 440 Nm). The maximum top speed of the mobile executive suite is now a whopping 210 km / h. However, this tuning would not be perfect if the interior was not also given a corresponding refinement.

While the driver's cab was equipped with a new airbag sports steering wheel, carbon paddle shifters, aluminum pedals as well as a redesigned dashboard and a corresponding set of floor mats, the rear at Mansory was given a level of equipment that is also unrivaled by the most renowned airline companies. The central console made of ebony is particularly striking, in which a refrigerator with a variable bottle holder can also be integrated if the customer wishes. The two comfort seats with reclining function are grouped around them. All business and relaxation functions are regulated via a centrally located touch display. These include the WLAN, the seating functions, the hands-free system and the TV conference screen. If necessary, two additional conference seats can be extended to face the comfort seats. A vehicle in a class of its own that should be particularly popular on the business floor. If we get more information about the modifications to the V-Class, there will of course, as always, be an update for this report.
