This Mazda MX-5, completely wrapped in orange, tries to be a so-called Bugeye British Sports Car. Since tuning on the Miata has been popular for decades, sometimes hair-raising conversions are the result. And this orange Mazda MX-5 with round headlights as a fake British Bugeye sports car is definitely one of them. The crazy specimen has been haunting the web for some time and is based on a 1993 Miata. For the front there is a completely new apron with an idiosyncratic radiator grille and the round headlights already mentioned. And of course the conversion that is currently for sale at Hirade Bankin comes from Japan. What exactly that "RS Roadster" from VSOP is not known to us. However, one could assume that a Triumph sports car from the 50s or early 60s was the goal here.

The TR3 would most likely fit, but a TR2 or a TR4 would also be conceivable. Or does the Roadster want to be much more of an Austin-Healey 3000, a Shelby AC Cobra CSX 2000 or an Austin Bugeye from 1960? We do not know it! What we do know is that the interior of the vehicle has also been modified and is shown here with wood veneer, wooden steering wheel and cream-colored leather interior. And finally, the rear is also completely changed due to a new apron, modified tailgate and round tail lights. We know of course that "Beauty is always in the eye of the beholder". However, we have examined the vehicle extensively and have come to the conclusion that it definitely belongs in our tuning fail category because WE do not consider it beautiful.
